TheForkUserNice restaurant with good food. We were a bit disappointed concerning the wine list as well as the selection of the accompanying wines - so close to the Cahors appellation, we would have expected a better selection of Cahors wines accompanying our five courses.

TheForkUserThe prestige menu is perfect in 9 courses, from the appetizers to the desserts, special mention for the brown trout and the supreme of guinea fowl. All the dishes are delicate and tasty. A very good cellar awaits you. Congratulations to the Chef and his entire team in the kitchen and in service.

TheForkUserThis is lovely little family run restaurant serving quality rustic French cuisine. No frills but good ingredients well cooked and nicely presented. Service is extremely friendly and unhurried. We will definitely revisit next time we are in France. You’ve got to try the home made Baba au Rum!

TheForkUserA delightful setting, lovely terrace surrounded by magnificent trees. We were warmly greeted by the proprietor and his wife. Every course was explained in detail including cooking methods etc who took obvious pride in his work. The food was most original, beautifully presented and most enjoyable. He explained how his menues were changed every week depending on seasonal produce etc. We will happily go there again.

TheForkUserA gem! Not to be missed... in an authentic natural setting, a breathtaking landscape, this restaurant offers you a warm, simple, but very professional welcome. The cuisine prepared by the owner's son is of a high standard, excellent dishes from starter to dessert, local dishes from Aubrac, quantities on the plates just right: neither too much nor too little, fast service, with a smile and kind words from the owner, in short, we had an excellent time in this family establishment that I highly recommend.

TheForkUserIt's always an exceptional place, whether you're at Oxalis or at the restaurant you can go there with your eyes closed. Everything is perfect, the food is excellent, the staff is pleasant and friendly and when it's the chef himself who takes your menu it's exceptional, you don't see that elsewhere. Marcoles may be a very picturesque little village in Cantal, but we have an establishment here that will make you detour. To you day visitors or Cantaliens, don't hesitate to stop by you won't be disappointed.

travelerererLe mejane is a high-end French restaurant. I think the price/performance ratio is quite high because they have set menus, which are much cheaper than a la carte. The taste is impeccable.
