TheForkUserIf this isn't the best meal I've had in Italy, then it's very, very close to the top. I spent 3 weeks touring Rome, Umbria, Marche, Veneto, and the wine regions near Florence last year, and 2 weeks touring rural Piedmont and the Tuscan coast this year. This hidden gem was just a 12 minute drive from the Milan airport and we stopped in for dinner on our last night in Italy. The meal blew away absolutely everything our professional tour guides had arranged. The steak tartare with shaved black truffles sitting on a small bed of creamy cheese sauce was just incredible, maybe the best tartar I've ever had. The fried pumpkin and porcini mushrooms were also very, very good. The octopus soup my companion ordered was good, but the Veal Osso Buco with Risotto alla Milanese was the star of the show. The wine list wasn't extensive, but it was good, and the owner recommended an off-menu Tuscan sangiovese for the osso buco and an off-menu botrytized white for the pumpkin tiramisu dessert. TheForkUserI found this restaurant over trip abvisor and since it was close to the place we stayed we decided to dine there. The restaurant is at quite road and it had a nice atmosphere. The staff was amazing helpful and polite either we didn't speak Italian.The food was nice also but the initial prices are way too expensive without the 50% discount of the reservation. Also the size of the burger was the same as of the size of the kids menu. I believe it should be bigger for the price range.Overall it was a pleasant experience and I definitely recommend this restaurant.Cantina Meridionale

The food was fantastic, we had a pizza each and shared some of the rosemary potatoes which if we weren’t full on pizza, we’d have ordered another bowl! TheForkUserVery friendly staff explaining all the dishes. Much appreciated the wine tasting of the 4 wines of the own Vinery of the restaurant in Chile in order to better decide. And the food !! AMAZING !! The prices are indeed expensive but with 50% off with the fork it is definitely a restaurant to try. The overlooking the galleria Vittorio Emanuele is fantastic and the place hosts many modern artworks. Highly recommended.
