The portions are generous and the prices are really fair. I appreciate that the ingredients tasted so fresh, especially in the vegetable dishes. A nice local spot for a simple, wholesome meal.

Booked ahead for dinner after skiing. The Genghis Khan mutton was pretty good, cooked right at the table. The beef and mushrooms were fine too. It's a decent spot, though a bit crowded.

Found this little spot! The agedashi tofu was so soft, and the eggplant miso was delicious. Perfect for a casual catch-up with friends. We ended up ordering a second round of the eggplant.

The soba had this really nice, firm chew. They give you the dipping sauce in a little cup at first, which was smart. My noodles stayed just right, not soggy at all.

The rice curry gratin was my first time trying it here. Got the large size—definitely worth the extra few dollars for how filling it was. Menu was in English too, which helped.

The staff were so kind. Noticed them helping a family with the tablet menu, patiently explaining each step. It felt warm, like they genuinely cared. Made the whole lunch feel a bit nicer.

The parking here is a lifesaver in Karuizawa. The space inside is modern and really open, feels comfortable whether you're with a group or just eating alone.

A short walk from the station. Came for a solo lunch, the green curry had a nice sweetness from the pineapple. Pretty cozy spot for a quick bite.

A cozy little spot tucked away in a quiet alley. The rustic decor made it feel really peaceful.

Nice spot by the river for a quick coffee. Got a seat on the terrace, service was fast. Perfect for a short break. The view is relaxing.

The Karuizawa Roll with blueberries is interesting. Light sponge, cream, and that flaky filling. It's not too sweet, which I like. A good choice for a simple dessert.

Came here after visiting Zenkoji. The tonkatsu was so crispy, and the miso soup had a nice depth to it. The pork was tender, not dry at all. A solid choice near the temple.

The katsudon was a nice surprise. Thin, crispy pork cutlet over rice. The spicy mushroom pickles were a great touch. I had a local lager with it, which cut through the richness nicely. Solid choice for a quick lunch.

The summer special chestnut shaved ice was so fluffy! The syrup tasted like real chestnuts, not too sweet. Perfect for beating the heat.

The sake list here is impressive. I tried a local one, chilled. It just went so well with the sashimi platter. That subtle sweetness cutting through the fresh fish? Perfect.

The thick toast was a highlight. Served warm with a nice texture. Place is relaxed, good for a quick business lunch. Service was efficient.

Been coming here for years. Their own parking lot across the street is the main reason I keep coming back—makes it so easy.

Parking is easy here with a big lot, which is nice since it's a bit out of the way. The main reason to come is the uni pasta—so fresh and creamy, totally worth the drive.

Just stumbled upon this little cafe next to Komoro Station. The garden out back is so peaceful, with benches tucked away among the plants. Sat there for ages with my iced coffee, watching the local trains come and go. A really nice find.

This cafe is inside a really old building in the woods. The whole place just feels so quiet and calm. I sat by the window for a long time, just watching the trees. It was exactly the kind of peaceful spot I needed.

The tablet ordering with English menu was a lifesaver. Staff were patient and tried their best to help, even with the language gap. Made the whole process much smoother.

Came right after the hot spring. Got a seat at opening, but it filled up fast. The ramen broth was really rich and warming, perfect for after a soak. A bit on the salty side for me, but still hit the spot.

The evening set with drinks is a nice deal. Three small plates from a good list, plus a beer. A relaxed way to sample a few things without deciding on a full meal.

Had their tofu lunch set. Really clean flavors, easy on the stomach. The owner suggested a local sake that paired nicely with the silky tofu. Nice chat too. A good reset after a few indulgent days.

The soba oyaki dumplings have a really nice buckwheat taste. The nozawana pickle inside is super hearty.

Right by Nagano Station, super convenient. Came on a weekend and it was packed, had to wait a bit. The soba was fresh and the tempura was crispy. Good spot for a quick meal after arriving.

Been coming here for years. Their coffee is always solid, and the sandwiches are simple but fresh. Hard to beat the price around here. Just wish the seating wasn't so cramped sometimes.

Ordering on the tablet was quick. The curry udon portion was generous for the price.

The sweet and sour pork at this restaurant is a must-try! It's perfectly balanced in flavor and pairs wonderfully with rice.
