The food was really good, each dish felt a little better than the one before. You can tell the chefs know their stuff. I just wish the chairs were a bit more comfortable for a longer sit-down meal.

Ok food but frankly quite average. Some things missing from the menu. Service was good. The restaurant suffered from lack of clients (we were booked for 9pm, Spanish dining time. It appears most of the clientele were not Spanish!). No music. We were stuck in the middle of the room. Would not return in a hurry.

Service was prompt and attentive from the start. They even gave us a complimentary tapa. The dining area is quite small though, so definitely book ahead.

This restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere with exquisite decor and attentive staff. The food is excellent, especially the potato croquettes, which were a highlight of our meal.

We were greeted with warmth even though we arrived late due to the fact our gps was confused, it was dark, and we had never been to El Palancar. The staff took our lack of Spanish language skills with grace and even recruited someone who appeared to be a long-term customer to occasionally help translate as needed. We asked our waiter to choose our dishes and he chose well! We shared 3 tapas. They were all excellent but we thought the mushroom lasagne was outstanding. The others (I&rsquo;m guessing here) were a salmon pate and a chorizo-filled filo pastry. My husband easily had the best pork dish he has ever had &mdash;grilled, marinated pork collar (again, guess) on a creamy, buttery, potato sauce and I had grilled cod. It was tender and grilled to perfection. We finished with a shared piece of orange cake with a thin, but rich and tasty layer of chocolate icing. Accompanied with wine, the bill was extremely reasonable particularly considering the quality of the service and the food. It was a true dining experience! Well worth the driving adventure and distance.

The tableside steak tartare prep was the whole show. Watching them mix everything right there made it taste even fresher. A bit pricey, but that moment was cool.

It&#39;s a quiet, clean spot. I like the simple wooden tables and the soft lighting, makes it easy to just relax and enjoy your food. Good value too.
