TheForkUserL’escaleta clearly deserves the 2 stars. I liked how chef Kiko uses local products but goes well beyond the classical Valencian dishes. The chef’s menu ‘ sabor’ , while being the smallest of the two menus offered, will already take you 3 hours to enjoy. Each dish gave me a nice blend of sour, salt and spice - chef Kiko likes to use kimchi, wild mustard and preserved vegetables, fish and meat.The service was very hospitable, and concluded by an invitation by the chef to visit his spotless, well organised kitchen.As the adagio of Michelin says: two stars means worth a detour and I would say, don’t mind if that detour takes you well off your planned road.

TheForkUserThe restaurant's ambience was really lovely and calm, perfect for couples.The service was nice, they even made more accomodations than necessary for my allergies, and listened to any request we had (among other things, we were in a hurry and asked to be served fast).The food was of good quality, with original recipes, and while it appears there is not much, you're in fact feeling filled at the end of the course.Definitely recommend this place!

TheForkUserOn the last day of the holiday I really craved a vegetarian meal - I thought a salad would be great but then I came across this restaurant on google and thought the menu looked tasty - it really was! I was there with a friend and we shared a starter - tomato tartare with olive bread - both of us really enjoyed it. Then I had the falafel for a main and my friend had the cannelloni, again both happy with our choices, finally sharing a snicker pudding - we ordered the Sauvignon blanc to accompany our meal - certainly not disappointed-it was good in every way. Service was friendly and they were knowledgeable about the ingredients - all in all would highly recommend

TheForkUserGoing to La Quinteria is synonymous with success. The product is excellent, the preparation is very good, the service is impeccable. The only point of improvement that I suggest is to provide some solution for parking. It is impossible to park in the area :-(
