TheForkUserLocation is perfect, by River Tâmega and near the monastery and bridge. The price is really good considering the quality of the food and service (for soup, garlic bread and main course and drinks, we paid around 25€ a person)
_TI***1nI was particularly impressed by the tasting menu, which was innovative and perfectly paired with wines. Each course was a delightful surprise, reflecting the chef's creativity and dedication to quality.
TheForkUserThe food is great! The chef is very friendly and open to costumer’s opinions/suggestions :)Next time I will try the cod fish.
TheForkUserExcellent dinner, we were a party of 4. I had the vegetarian stew it was delicious my husband had the ribs they were perfectly seasoned, my friends had seafood stew and cod. The Bell wine and Chardonnay it was all delicious.
TheForkUserTha ambience is delightful, with an open front to the street with comfortable chairs. Inside is a rather romantic space with well separated tables. We were recommended to order a small plate each followed by a shared larger dish. Quality was excellent and the glasses of recommended wines unusual and well chosen. Followed by a shared desert. It was a pleasure, wuth knowledgeable cheerful service
TheForkUserOne of our favourite restaurants in the world because everything on the menu is just delicious and by now we probably tried almost everything from them! The pizza is the best I ever had and as a desert I highly recommend their tiramisu!
TheForkUserThe food here was delicious. We had the bruschetta to start and a delicious pizza for dinner. Staff were friendly and efficient and we enjoyed our meal here!
TheForkUserNice place with a delicious food. I do recommend this pace, normal prices and worth all the money. The service was great! I will definitely go there again when I come back to Porto. Thank you for making our evening special :) regards from me and my family 👌
TheForkUserMy family and I had the pleasure of dining at Aguas de Bacalhau to celebrate our sixteenth wedding anniversary. The meal was exceptional, and Guillermo’s service was outstanding. I highly recommend you visit them for lunch or dinner!
TheForkUserThank you for a wonderful dinner with my uncle that I haven't seen in over 10 years. Everything was great, but the service could show some improvement if some of the staff could be more friendly with more smiles and courtesy. We had a great time overall.
TheForkUserUnbelievable food. Trio of bruschetta to start was fantastic. Lasagne was best I’ve ever had and the tiramisu was incredible. Highly highly recommend!
TheForkUserWe thoroughly enjoyed our meal at DeCastro Gaia. The restaurant was very kind to accommodate our request for a table adjacent to a window with a terrific view of the bridge. Both appetizers and entres were excellent, as was the selection of ports. The dining room is a great size, not too large yet intimate at the same time. We did not venture upstairs to the roof terrace, although there is a relatively steady stream of guests passing through the dining room en route to the roof. We would happily return again when next in Porto.
TheForkUserFriendly staff. The food was fresh and well prepared. Quality ingredients with attention to detail. Pricing was reasonable. The house wine was surprisingly good.
TheForkUserWonderful food, so imaginative with lots different textures and tastes but perfectly blended. The staff were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Thank you Joãs, Monteimo and José.We let them choose which glass of wine to go with the dish, recommend that. Freat experience.
TheForkUserbest meal in porto. And when we were left high and dry by our Uber driver who cancelled us [pouring rain so very wet], the restaurant organized us an Uber and paid for it too. Excellent service in a quality restaurant
TheForkUserGenerous, fresh, delicious seafood. Beautifully presented with great service. Did not expect t.v displaying football at high quality restaurant, but understand local passion for sport. Did not retract from our wedding anniversary experience.
TheForkUserExcelente Bife a portuguesa! soft, tasty, well cooked, a delight. The space is very nice and have a beautiful wall mural with lovely fantasy drawings of funny characters
TheForkUserCheeses and sausages of the best quality served in a very welcoming environment! Highlight for the friendliness of the staff.
TheForkUserExcellent food. tapas portions big enough for 2 to share. we had 4 altogether and was more then enough. really tasty food and excellent service. there was live music on while we were there which added to the fantastic atmosphere!
TheForkUserExcellent high end food with great service and wine staff. Husband and wife. I had the fixed price menu and my wife selected ala carte. Wonderful, thank you.
TheForkUserthe staff was super nice and so was the food. we ordered two “house” cocktails and they were good, but my friend’s had ?sugar? on the outside of the cup which made her fingers dirty when she picked it up ☹️
TheForkUserRestaurant is centrally located just off Largo do Toural. Staff were friendly and welcoming and some staff spoke English. Had a pizza and pasta and both were quite good. Nice restaurant with patio.
TheForkUserFabulous regional food! Very tasty, huge portions and incredible value! The staff made us very welcome and seemed happy to ser
TheForkUserVery accommodating and helpful. We were traveling and the area was new to us. The restaurant gave us excellent information regarding the town and the food.
TheForkUserIt was very quiet and the owner was very attentive. We enjoyed a selection of starters and a nice bottle of wine. The desserts were good too. Overall an enjoyable evening.
TheForkUserAmazing place! I don’t know how I missed this restaurant exploring Guimaraes :/ Food is fantastic - try the cheese with the souse as a starter and the octopus just first class. Also the service is perfect. Definitely great choice for every occasion!
TheForkUserA deserving Michelin Star restaurant. Amazing experience with great service and food. Staff was on top of every detail.
