Service was quick even with a line out the door. Staff kept things moving and our order came fast. I liked that they didn&rsquo;t rush us once we got our food though. Just a solid spot for a no-fuss meal.

Stopped by for a drink after walking through the Jordaan. Old-school brown cafe, proper vibe. They have a no-phone rule and backgammon boards out&mdash;actually makes you talk to people. Service was fine, nothing fancy. Prices fair for the area. Not a place for a quick scroll on your phone, but that&#39;s the point.

Tried the spinach and feta phyllo. Really good. The sweet cheese one was nice too. Big windows by the Amstel, loads of morning light. Solid spot.

The back room is quiet, which is rare. 40&#39;s music playing in the background gives it a nice old-school vibe. Good spot if you want a calm lunch.

Nice spot by the Amstel, morning sun hits different there. Scones are genuinely some of the best I&#39;ve had in town. Brunch menu is solid too. Outdoor seating&#39;s a bit tight though, not much room to spread out. Still, worth it for the pastries.

The s&uuml;tla&ccedil; was properly creamy, not too sweet. Nice way to finish. Would&#39;ve liked a glass of something sweet alongside, but the tea did the job.

Surprisingly good.The menu is looking like nothing, with the usual suspects, no theme nor food direction, a bad wine selection, and pretty high prices. From the outside: a typical Dutch trap to avoid.Actually, the dishes are made with great care and worth every penny of the final bill. The atmosphere and services are cosy&hellip; it&rsquo;s just a great place to be. A hidden gem in the ocean of restaurants with more or less the same menu board and style.

The croissant was actually good. Buttery, flaky, proper layers. Filter coffee did the job too. Tried the flat white as well, decent enough. Staff were friendly but honestly I just came for the pastry. Would grab that croissant again if I&#39;m around Utrecht.

The Eton mess and chocolate trio were spot on. Service did the job. Already thinking about going back.
