TheForkUserThis was a wonderful discovery - delicious and sophisticated, locally produced food, served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. And with an extremely reasonable bill at the end. What's not to like!
TheForkUserVery relaxed and enjoyable. We had a drink outside and then a superb meal including some amazing cheese. The wine was good and the service was very friendly.
TheForkUserThe lemon chicken pasta was incredible. It was a good portion size and had great citrus flavor and creaminess with the addition of the buffalo mozzarella. Service was great and my food arrived promptly. The decor was a little strange with large nutcrackers randomly positioned along with a wall of plastic plants but otherwise the vibe was good and the background music was fantastic. I had to leave prematurely however when smokers of the patio began smoking directly adjacent to the open doors to the restaurant. And I was even seated in the far corner!
TheForkUserChain bistro with good service, as many fries you can eat and a few but enough choices of main dishes at a very reasonable price. We had duck, tartare beef and a steak which were very tasty. It’s not a Michelan restaurant but I recommend this place.
TheForkUserIf I could predict my "last supper" it would be at Le Castelet. The food is amazingly good and the owners make you feel so welcome but not intrusive. They deserve all the positive feedback they receive. If you are ever in Blois make sure you book Le Castelet. You will not be disappointed.
TheForkUserOn arrival, a restaurant in a bland hotel on a roundabout under construction: not immediately promising. The amuse bouche soon laid any fears to rest, though: an excellent meal then followed. There is a chef in this kitchen with a real genius for textures and taste combinations. It matches or exceeds Michelin starred food I have eaten. Everything was delicious, and a few (the tonka bean dessert and the polenta cake with the guinea fowl) were stand-outs. Service was attentive. We had a wonderful lunch.
TheForkUserGreat service, interesting and delicious takes on Italian. The vegetarian lasagna was amazing and the tiramisu, homemade! Highly recommend. Make reservations.
TheForkUserExcellent service, a fun flight of Loire white wines, fresh salad, perfectly steamed potatoes and yummy melted cheese on toast with a beautiful mustard flavour. Definitely recommend.
TheForkUserA bit out of the way if you’re staying in Amboise but worth the 5 minute drive from city center. Our waiter was extremely friendly and the food was excellent. It was a very hot day so we started with a very cold beer that hit the spot perfectly.
TheForkUserMade us very welcome with our dog. The food and drink were first class and the ambience delightful. Very clean restaurant
TheForkUserVery nice restaurant with a good vibe. The food was very good at a reasonable price. We had the sparkling rose which was excellent. Very good experience and would recommend
TheForkUserVery nice meal and wine. We were warmly welcomed and glad we had a reservation as diners without one were turned away. The proprietors were helpful to translate the menu for us and provided excellent service and nice ambience.
_TI***1jThe outdoor setting is delightful, and the quality of the meals is impressive. It's a great place to enjoy a festive atmosphere with friends.
_TI***4bI had a wonderful time at L'Accalmie! The dishes were beautifully presented and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was calm and the staff were attentive.
TheForkUserAfter a busy day of touring châteaus, it was wonderful to unwind at this restaurant which offers beautiful views of the Cher River and an ancient bridge. We enjoyed a lovely repast — melt in your mouth lamb, tarte Tatin and Saumur wine. Service was most attentive and we look forward to a return visit soon!
TheForkUserThis amazing restaurant is well worth the visit from anywhere south of Paris. Every course was well thought out, and even though we ordered fois gras, we received a bonus fois gras dish after the excellent amuse. The lobster “three ways” was perhaps the other highlight although both deserts were spectacular. A special mention for the wine pairing that was perhaps the best I have had, all wines locally sourced as well. And bring your kids. The children’s menu is incredibly affordable and is to the same standard as the adult menu. C’est magnifique!. 10/10
TheForkUserExcellent food and service. Thank you for a wonderful experience. The wine - it was lovely. There is only a small suggestion: the dining experience would be enhanced with some music in the background. Jazz or classical or guitar.
TheForkUserGood Carbonara, very nice tartar. Service was very attentive
TheForkUserI ate here 2 yrs ago and enjoyed it so much that I made sure that I could eat here again on this trip to Tours. Small, friendly, great food, wait staff is helpful with wine and menu options for those of us not fluent in French. Merci beaucoup
TheForkUserOne of the few quality restaurants open in Blois on a Monday evening. My five discerning guests and I were not disappointed. Very good service and well presented food.
TheForkUserExceptional meal - the chef is very creative and is expert at using surprising ingredients in interesting ways. A special mention for the desserts which the chef came to serve and which he tailors to each guest, depending on the guest’s preferences. Wine list is also good with many local wines.A great experience from start to finish.
TheForkUserNice restaurant with a very nice view on Chambord castle (luckily we were able to eat outside); due to a misunderstanding our main course arrived late, but with a view on Chambord castle we could not complain; very nice dessert, and nice French cooking with a modern twist
TheForkUserWe had an amazing dinner at NYC Bistro. The burgers were splendid, the waitress was a gem, how she interacted with my daughter and made us feel very welcome and have relaxing dinner with a noisy toddler ( she got crayons to keep her busy) was amazing. We will certainly be back one day!
TheForkUserVery good food ! Quiet and nice athmosphere on the terrace outside Very friendly and professional service
TheForkUserThe menu was in french and english, our waitress was lovely, the food was delicious, the setting great & it was easy to book online
TheForkUserGreat food with a very nice creative twist combined with excellent and super friendly service. We stop at Aux Gens Heureux here each time when we visit Tours. Vaut le détour ! “
