Restaurant is located in a small town not far from the airport, making it a premium choice. Pizzas, pastas as well as seafood specials. TheForkUserIf this isn't the best meal I've had in Italy, then it's very, very close to the top. I spent 3 weeks touring Rome, Umbria, Marche, Veneto, and the wine regions near Florence last year, and 2 weeks touring rural Piedmont and the Tuscan coast this year. This hidden gem was just a 12 minute drive from the Milan airport and we stopped in for dinner on our last night in Italy. The meal blew away absolutely everything our professional tour guides had arranged. The steak tartare with shaved black truffles sitting on a small bed of creamy cheese sauce was just incredible, maybe the best tartar I've ever had. The fried pumpkin and porcini mushrooms were also very, very good. The octopus soup my companion ordered was good, but the Veal Osso Buco with Risotto alla Milanese was the star of the show. The wine list wasn't extensive, but it was good, and the owner recommended an off-menu Tuscan sangiovese for the osso buco and an off-menu botrytized white for the pumpkin tiramisu dessert.
