The old wooden counter and the gentle light from the paper lanterns... it felt like I'd slipped into a quiet moment from another era. Just sitting there with my coffee, watching the afternoon light fade. A very peaceful spot.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The hamburger steak was juicy, sauce was good. Just a solid, classic plate. Hit the spot.

I had the pleasure of trying the mapo tofu, and it truly lived up to its reputation! The balance of flavors was exquisite, making it a must-try for anyone visiting.

The Nostalgic Special Ramen was just right for me. The broth was light and not heavy at all, which I really liked. The noodles had a good texture. The little fork they give you is a cute idea.

The misokatsu set is under 1900 yen. The pork cutlet was thick and juicy, fried perfectly. The miso sauce was rich and savory, not too sweet. A good portion of rice and cabbage.

Tried the lunch course. Mackerel appetizer was nicely presented. Main selection was decent. Service was efficient, but the room felt a bit cramped. Good for a business lunch near the office.

The atmosphere was lovely and quiet, allowing for a peaceful dining experience. The food was well-prepared, and I especially enjoyed the tea.

The spicy miso ramen was solid, with a good chewy noodle. The real standout was the house sake pairing suggestion from the server—it cut through the richness perfectly. Lively spot, though a bit loud for a quiet chat.

The salted beef tongue and tripe are always good. Tried the homemade beef tongue sausage for the first time - really juicy and packed with flavor. A solid addition to the menu.

The tablet ordering was super convenient, no waiting for the bill. But honestly, the portions felt a bit small for the price. My main dish was tasty, but I was still a little hungry after.

The all-you-can-eat had a solid variety. The sushi rice was well-seasoned, not too vinegary. The salmon sashimi was fresh, decent cuts. The staff show was a fun touch, but honestly, I was just there for the food.

The hostess picked a natural wine that went so well with the shellfish. Loved how fresh everything tasted.

Cold udon with beef and radish. Noodles had a good texture, firm and smooth. Portion size was adequate for lunch. Service was prompt, got my order quickly. Convenient location near the station.

The autumn menu was a real treat. I particularly enjoyed how the wine pairing brought out the delicate flavors of each dish. A bit on the pricier side, but the experience was spot on.

Hidden gem in the Esca basement. Showa-era feel is perfect for a quiet lunch. Much calmer than the upstairs chaos.

The miso pork cutlet was good. The sauce was rich and sweet, the pork tender. The miso soup that came with it was nice too. It's a solid choice for the local specialty.

Spacious cafe in the Fushimi underground mall. Good spot to escape the crowds upstairs. Had the daily lunch set, decent portion for the price. Could use a bit more salad maybe. Coffee was okay.

Loved the quiet, retro vibe here. Had a simple lunch and the coffee afterwards was really thoughtful. Just the right kind of calm.

Tiny basement spot in Mitsukoshi. Got the strawberry shortcake. Really fresh cream, sponge was light. Perfect with their tea. A quiet break from the crowds upstairs.

The lunch course was a decent deal. The seared meat had good flavor, and the pasta sauces were pretty nice. A solid meal for the price.
