Loved the set lunch menu here. It was so relaxed and spacious, perfect for a long catch-up with friends. The food was really nicely balanced, though the courses did come out a bit slowly. Still, a lovely spot for a proper chat.

We celebrated my sister in laws 40th Birthdayy . Although the original room I had once visited was being renovated the new space was beautiful and the after tea was everything we hoped for, we had a a wonderful experience, loved the piano player

Asrin Chopani was so welcoming, really set a lovely tone. Her warmth made the whole evening feel relaxed. I had a glass of their house red with the lamb, and the pairing was spot on. A very pleasant visit.

This diamond of a local restaurant is a joy to visit.Food is totally fresh and a blaze of colour. If you want healthy tasty top quality food go in and enjoy.I got a meal to go for a picnic in Hyde Park 10 minute walk.Sat in the park sun shining great food and company.will be back .

Just popped in for the Sunday roast. The beef was really tender, and those roasties were properly crispy. The Yorkshire pudding was spot on too. Felt like a proper, no-fuss pub meal.

The Reuben here is my new go-to. The meat was so tender, and the bread had this nice crisp to it. Just the right amount of cheese and kraut so it wasn't too heavy. A solid lunch spot!

Perfect for a quick catch-up over coffee! The staff were lovely and the food came out fast. Just a bit cosy inside, tables are close.

David and Olivia were so lovely and attentive! Made our Sunday lunch with friends feel really relaxed and easy.

The food quality at Melanzana is impressive, especially the mushroom truffle oil pasta and Nutella gnocchi. Each visit has left me wanting more!

Classic pub with a fine dining vibe. The heated garden is a real winner, perfect for a quiet pint. Staff were lovely and attentive. Food was decent, though a bit pricey for the portion size. Would pop back for the garden alone.

The Sunday roast here is a proper treat. The beef was so tender, and those crispy roast potatoes were just right. It's a lovely spot for a chilled Sunday afternoon.

Popped in after seeing the palace. The mussels in tomato sauce were so good, and the portion was huge – we could barely finish it between two of us! Perfect for a long catch-up with a friend.

The family meal for two was generous, really filling. Everything was cooked nicely, tasted good. But the sticky toffee pudding let it down a bit – a bit dry, and the cream had lumps. Shame, as the rest was solid.

Friendly staff and they offered a complimentary lemonade shot, which was a nice touch. The portions are definitely generous. I found the menu had a good variety to choose from, so it was easy to settle in.

A real find. The chicken soup and dumplings were full of flavour, and their wine list had a great pairing suggestion for it.

Lovely classic London pub. Their house red was a nice surprise, went down a treat with the atmosphere. Prices are fair too.

When I booked this, it escaped me that it was situated in the Café Royal Hotel. What a beautiful setting, on the balcony of the main reception to the hotel; and what history. Adorning the walls are memorabilia of days gone by and the rich and famous, who frequented the hotel. For instance, adjacent the dining area is an annexe that was home to the final performance of David Bowie as his alter ego, Ziggy Stardust. Elsewhere, there are pictures of Lulu, Mick Jagger and Lou Reed and many others. We chose to eat from the set menu and the food was superb. Service was swift without being rushed, and tables are well spaced so even when busy there is no feeling of being cramped, indeed quite intimate at our generous round (as many of them are) table. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant as a must see place, and we’ll be back too as it’s just too good for a one off visit. As a post matinee theatre dinner, this was perfect for us, a haven in an otherwise bustling area of London.

The afternoon tea was decent with the voucher. I really liked the fresh ingredients in the sandwiches.

The cheese and wine tasting was a lovely way to spend an evening. The staff's guidance through the pairings was spot on—learned a thing or two without it feeling like a lecture. Just a relaxed, enjoyable little journey for the palate.

We had an amazing time at Summerhouse. The food, the service (thank you Akis) and our table on the canal were incredible. Would definitely recommend and go back ourselves. Our friend celebrating his 70th had a great time and felt very spoilt.

I highly recommend the halloumi fries; they were crispy and perfectly seasoned! The quality of the food is impressive for the price.

The private booth for us and our dog was a really nice touch. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal, checking in without being intrusive. Made for a relaxed evening.

Very nice and cozy. We've stopped here after walk and got their Wednesday Special - One Kilo of muscles. Food was delicious, service was good and prices were very affordable. Definitely will be back, thank you!

The poached eggs were just right, and the blueberry pancakes were lovely. Service was polite and attentive, which made for a relaxed meal.

Grabbed a quick lunch here. Food's always fresh, which is key for a fast bite. Place is clean and tidy. Staff are friendly too. Good spot when you're in a rush.

Classic London pub, very dog-friendly which is a win. Staff were friendly and efficient. Menu had solid options for my dietary requirements, which is always appreciated. A reliable spot for a straightforward meal.

The smashed burger was juicy and flavourful, especially with those crispy chips. At £10, felt fair. The staff were really attentive about my allergies, which I appreciate. My only note is that the wine list is quite basic – a more interesting red by the glass would have been a perfect match.

The lunch deal was a solid choice. The fish was clearly fresh, and the local produce in the salad tasted like it. A nice, simple meal before heading out for that walk in the woods.

Lovely old pub, the festive decorations really made it feel cosy. Had a great time just soaking up the atmosphere with a pint by the fire.

The Sunday roast is definitely the star. Beef was spot on, and the portion of veg was huge. Yorkshire pudding was good too. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding, which was a nice finish. For the price, you get a lot of food.
