TheForkUserA great dining experience , as always. I have dined there many times and is the first place I take friends and visitors to Tassie for a first class meal. Cannot, nor choose to fault it. Reasonable prices for good quality food. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Indian style food.

Enjoyed a wonderful Indian meal with my wife. Great service and superb Indian food. And it was a nice experience with great value for money. Will definitely go again, next time in Hobart
Fantastic food and service. Here in Hobart for a few days and decided to try the restaurant, wow. Couldn't have asked for more. Great food and service
Pleasant setting, attentive and helpful service and very good food. The food is sensitively spiced to bring out the full flavours. Saffron is a delightful part of waterfront dining in Hobart. It is definitely my favourite Indian restaurant in Hobart.
Food was fabulous and that really is the major point here. The staff seemed a litle inexperienced and made a few minor errors. I'd booked a table for four people but they sat us at a table for 7. When we asked to be moved to a four next to the window they obliged but the view was really carpark rather than bay. We started with what was supposed to be a local sparkling rose but was a sparkling chardonnay not rose. The poor waitress had no idea what we were talking about! I dont think she was a drinker .The food however was terrific . We had mixed vegetable entree with a plate of fried fishand fried prawns which were enjoyable without being exceptional. Our mains were butter chicken , chennai prawns saag paneer and lamb korma. All of these were aromatic and highly flavoursome. The chennai was rated ???????????????? and was of our party was concerned but , although quite hot , the flavours were excellent and she ate some without a problem . We avoided thvindaloo
