Mappen Noodle Bar: Basically, this is the only restaurant where I feel like I can eat alone without feeling awkward. And the spicy fish roe soba is really good the more you eat it!

This Japanese restaurant is located in Chinatown, George Street, Sydney. It is a very popular restaurant. The restaurant is modern in decoration, but it also maintains Japanese characteristics and has a good dining environment. There are many kinds of Japanese food here, and snacks such as tempura, udon noodles, octopus balls, etc. are cheap and good, which attracts many customers. The waiters in the restaurant are well-trained, warm and friendly, giving people a good impression.

A very common Japanese restaurant. You pick your own food with a plate and pay at the cashier. The specialty of the restaurant is udon noodles, but I think the various tempura and sweet soft-boiled eggs are more outstanding.

I could imagine it's a best place for the students to hang out after school. The food was considerably great at this price range. For nice and easy meals and there are a lot of food varieties. I love their jap noodle bowls with egg and beef on rice. I lived in the Meriton at Kent Street and this place is one of my favourite lunch places during my stay in Sydney.

Great find in the centre of Sydney, close to the cinemas and World Square. Come in early but if not, don't be scared of the queue. There's a quick turn over so you'll find a seat by the time you have ordered and paid for your food.
