TheForkUserThe service took a bit long and the food didn’t came at the same time for everyone, that was the only thing that should be improved. Relaxed ambient, tasty food and nice portions, price is fair and the employees are super attentive (the girls) and caring. I would recommend the pataniscas, sweet potato fries, eggplant, octopus salad and the leite creme.

TheForkUserBeing in the touristic bit of Porto is quite a perilous task. Is it a tourist trap? Is it exploiting you? No, contrary to the fact, it is a lovely restaurant, all of the staff are nice, very empathetic. The food was superb and - you are eating tapas, the Ambiente was accordingly loving and heartfelt. We recommend it. The wine was fatanstaic as well. We left the restaurant with the desire to go back there one more time. And that, indeed, is a great rating. Thank you.

TheForkUserThis restaurant was a great find. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. Prices are very reasonable. I really enjoyed my spicy clam dish and my friend loved her spicy prawns and squid. They have a wonderful wine list as well. Next time I will skip the dessert.

TheForkUserThe food is excellent, with very good pasta, some of the best fish, and the best steak we have had in Portugal. They also have an excellent port wine selection (Calem also owns Barros, Burmester, and Kopke) and they make their own ice cream for dessert. Additionally, the walls are all glass so it makes people watching on one side and river watching on the other (with the incredible view of Porto and the Luis I bridge in the background) an extra treat. However, it the service that puts this place over the top! Carla, Stephanie, and Gustavo were all top notch and made the experience special. Carla was all smiles and seemed to be having the best time, even with all our silly touristy questions, and her attitude was infectious. And Stephanie remembered us from our last visit two years ago! These two deserve a raise because they really make guests feel well taken care of. In such a touristy area, they are unique in how genuine they are. UVA is a Porto/Gaia favorite!!!

I saw other tables order the chorizo that you toast over fire at your table and I was so envious and wished I had ordered that too! It looked amazing!

TheForkUserWe went to Bonjardim about 7:40PM and got directly on the line. It was busy but we waited about 20 minutes and we were seated outside. Perfect! Our waiter couldn’t have been more friendly. We ordered a bottle of Papa Figos from Douro. Water and bread came right away. We split a whole chicken w rice and a nice salad. The Piri Piri sauce was spicy and excellent as was the chicken! Do not miss this restaurant if you are ever in Lisbon.

We asked for just a mixed salad, which was not on the menu, and this was very nice too. It came with a light dressing and tomatoes and carrots. We made a reservation, and this way you can request a window table.
