They've clearly been working on things. Staff were more attentive this time, service felt smoother. My main course arrived hot, which is a basic thing but makes such a difference. A step in the right direction.

The free parking right outside is a real plus. Makes popping in for a quick lunch from the town centre so easy. Had the fish and chips today – the batter was crisp and the chips were proper chunky.

The Sunday roast was spot on. Beef was cooked just right, and the veg had a nice flavour. Service was quick, which was a bonus. A solid Sunday lunch.

Service was spot on. Carmen and Jake were friendly but not intrusive, got everything right on a busy Friday night. Felt well taken care of.

Coffee's reliably good, probably the best around. It's a busy local spot, so can be a bit loud for a work call. Got my usual flat white, quick service.

The Big Argyll burger was really good on Monday. Got the beer and burger deal. Sat out on the back patio, it’s covered so was nice even with a bit of drizzle. The patty was juicy and cooked just right.

Stoke Row Store has a lovely charm. The food is fresh and flavourful, and they have a thoughtful wine list that complements the dishes nicely.

Stopped by on a quiet Sunday. My pizza was good, but what really stood out was the tricolor salad. The mozzarella was so fresh and creamy, and the tomatoes tasted like they were just picked. That kind of ingredient quality makes a difference.

The crab linguine was solid, fresh and well-priced. Service was quick and efficient, which I appreciate for a business lunch. The sharing platter for dessert was a nice touch. Good spot near the office.

Been coming here for years, and their carrot and coriander soup is the main reason. Always exactly the same – thick, warming, and just the right amount of spice. It’s the one thing I know I can count on.

Had the grilled octopus again since the new owners came in. It’s just as good as last time—super fresh and tender, with that perfect char. Really glad they’ve kept the quality up.

Nice spot right off the M4. Good for a quick meal with a view of the countryside.

The staff were really friendly. They even adjusted a couple of dishes for our table, which was a nice touch. Food was solid.

The staff were very thoughtful about my friend's gluten allergy. They made sure everything was safe, which was much appreciated.

The lamb shank was the star. Cooked for hours, the meat fell off the bone with just a fork. The red wine jus was rich and deep, clinging to every bit. Could have used a touch more seasoning, but the texture was spot-on.

The staff are always so welcoming, and the free gravy bones for dogs are a nice touch. Their wine list has some solid options for a casual spot.

Been ordering their curry for years, finally got takeaway myself. The lamb vindaloo had real heat, but the mango lassi was a perfect match to cool it down. Ready in 20 mins as promised. Portions are generous, no skimping.

The breakfast deals are a nice touch. I really appreciate how fresh the ingredients taste, especially the eggs and avocado. It makes for a healthy, satisfying start to the day.

Service was friendly and attentive. It did get quite loud when the place filled up, but that's to be expected for a popular spot. My main takeaway is on the price point—the portions were generous for what you pay. Felt like a good deal.

The lunch menu is solid. Had the grilled chicken salad, portion was generous for the price. The chicken was moist, greens fresh. Could've used a bit more dressing, but it's a good midday bite.

service is great. very nice menu with fresh ingredients. love the place. coffee is fab and the young staff there are just great. everything was very good.

The real ales here are in top shape. Had a pint of their seasonal bitter, poured perfectly, with that proper cask-conditioned taste. Just the right balance, not too heavy.

Been coming here for years, mostly for the tea. They serve it in these proper big cups, feels like a proper cuppa. Just a heads up though, it gets packed on weekends now.

Lovely fresh flavours here. The large salad I ordered was a proper meal in itself - crisp greens, ripe tomatoes, and a light, zesty dressing. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. A nice spot for a healthy lunch.

The chicken was decent, and the sauces had good flavour.

The Sunday roast was spot on, you can tell it's all homemade. Those Yorkshire puddings were the star for me, so light and crispy. Just a proper, comforting plate of food.

The food was tasty, no complaints there. But honestly, it's a bit pricey for a casual catch-up. We had a great time, but my wallet felt it afterwards. More of a special occasion spot with friends.
