The chef actually came out after our meal just to say hi—that never happens where I'm from. Service felt genuine, not scripted. Made the whole dinner feel a bit more personal, you know? Small touch, but it stuck with me.

Great spot right on the river. Sat outside on the terrace, quick service even though it was busy. Buffet was decent, nothing fancy but hit the spot. Staff were friendly, didn't have to wait long for drinks either. Solid choice if you're in the area and want a fast bite without the hassle.

The cordon bleu was proper crispy outside, cheese still oozing. Big portion, owner's dead friendly.

The vegan lemon cake was genuinely good—moist, not too sweet. Veggie burger held up too. Place was quiet enough to actually talk.

Walked in Saturday without a booking, manager still squeezed us in. Food came fast even with the rush. The falafel and dips were solid, though I'd have liked a better wine list to match. Free dessert was a nice touch.

Called last minute for New Year's Eve, they squeezed us in. Grandma was well looked after, food was solid.

The woman running the front is something else—she handles everything solo and switches between languages without missing a beat. Got there early, luckily, because they started turning people away within twenty minutes. Space is tiny, so yeah, book ahead or come right when they open. Food was solid, but honestly the service efficiency was the most impressive part.

Dropped by for a late lunch. Gang was friendly and pointed me to the duck, which was a solid call. Pad thai was decent too, fresh and not greasy. Food came out quicker than I expected. Place is a bit cramped but fine for a quick bite. Pretty good overall for the price.

The salad with their homemade dressing was really good, and that 'Kamasutra' dessert surprised me. Fair prices for Bern, though the room is a bit snug.

Stopped by for a drink and tiramisu—the view really is the main draw. Only one server on the terrace though, she was running around but handled it fine.

Stopped by for a quick dinner and honestly the spaghetti was the highlight—cooked just right, not mushy. Pizza came out crispy too, which I don't always get. Salad was fresh, simple. Owner actually walked us out and said goodbye, kinda nice. Place isn't fancy but you can tell they care. Maybe a bit slow between courses, but fine if you're not in a rush.

Stopped by for dinner after getting in on the train. Outdoor seating was nice, wine was solid. They adjusted a couple of dishes for me since I don't eat meat—no fuss at all. Portions are pretty small though, even for here. I left still a bit hungry, but the flavors were good enough that I didn't mind much.

Stopped by for lunch on a workday. Portions are generous, I actually had enough left over for the next morning. Thai flavors came through fresh, not heavy. Lunch menu pricing is fair for what you get. Service was quick, which I appreciated since I had a meeting after. Place gets busy around noon, so come a bit earlier if you're in a hurry.

I highly recommend the whole-grain croissants and coffee here. The staff is always cheerful, creating a welcoming environment for guests.

Great basement vibe, very cool spot. Jürg the owner came by for a chat, super friendly. Good place for a drink if you're in the area.

Freddi knows his sushi, that's for sure. Lived in Tokyo and it shows. Got the nigiri set, fish was fresh and the rice was on point. Quick and easy for a lunch stop.

Sandwiches were decent and honestly priced better than the supermarket. Got one to take away and it held up fine. Nothing fancy, but for a quick lunch it does the job. Maybe not a destination spot, but if you're nearby it's a solid option.

Pastries were solid and the place looks great inside. Just watch the bill when you add drinks — felt a bit steep for what you get.

Decent spot for a quick meal. Staff were friendly enough and the place looks nice inside. They don't skimp on the rice refills, which I appreciated. Food came out pretty fast, so I left full without waiting around too long. Nothing fancy, but it did the job fine for a casual dinner.

Gluten-free pizza was solid, not the usual cardboard texture. Good option if you're avoiding wheat. Service was quick too.

Stopped by for lunch and grabbed the fajitas—pretty solid, actually. Meat was juicy, peppers still had a bit of crunch. Ribs were decent too, though a touch dry on the edges. Staff was friendly, checked in a couple times without hovering. Bill came out fair for what we got. Not mind-blowing, but I'd sit at that bar again.

The warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was the highlight — gooey center, not too sweet. The absinthe semi-frozen dessert had that slight herbal kick, interesting. Sat by the boat dock, nice breeze. Staff let us take our time. Maybe slightly pricey for the portion, but I’d come back for that cake.

Cozy place, proper Italian feel. The piatto d'Italia was good but honestly a bit pricey for what you get. Staff were lovely though, made the whole evening nicer.

Food’s been solid every time I’ve been here. Tried a few pasta dishes and the flavors were on point, nothing felt rushed or sloppy. It’s right in the center, so easy to pop in. Staff were polite, not overly chatty, which I actually liked. Just wish the bread basket came with a bit more olive oil. Still, a dependable spot for Italian.

Great wine selection and the staff actually know what they're talking about. Had the aperitif board—fresh ingredients, nicely put together. A bit pricey but fair for the quality.

This small restaurant is great value for money and food portions are very generous. The vegetarian pad thai dish was excellent and one of the best I've tasted. Good service and relaxed quiet atmosphere was perfect for us after a day walking the city.
