Staff here are super friendly and attentive. The place gets packed but they handle the rush well. Love that it's a family-run spot supporting other local producers.

The Sunday roast beef was the star. Cooked perfectly pink, tender and full of flavour. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. The Yorkshire pudding was a bit dry, but the gravy was rich and saved it. That's what I came for.

The sushi school class was solid. Brandon knows his stuff, no doubt. We made maki and nigiri, and the fish quality was decent. Came away with a full platter to take home. The hands-on part is what you're paying for, really.

The portions are massive! The food's fresh and tasty, definitely lives up to the hype.

Great halal food with a proper spicy kick. The staff even gave us some sightseeing tips. The wine list was a pleasant surprise, had a nice glass with the lamb.

Good selection of gluten-free dishes. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, and the smoothie was fresh. The kids enjoyed it. A solid choice for a family meal.

The crab nachos on the specials board were fantastic. The soft lighting in the room just made it feel so calm and unhurried. A really nice spot to unwind.

Greek chicken skewers were spot on, juicy and charred just right. The flatbread was warm and pillowy. My vegetarian mezze plate looked lovely, everything tasted fresh. Cocktails were a nice touch, well-balanced. A solid meal.

Had their curry goat at a friend's wedding last weekend. The meat was so tender, fell right off the bone. Flavour was spot on, not too spicy. Everyone kept going back for more. Service seemed really smooth from what I saw.

Came by for a late lunch on a sunny day. The vibe was really relaxed and elegant, just what I wanted. Staff were super nice and on top of things. Made for a really pleasant afternoon.

The owner and his wife are lovely. They remembered us from a previous visit and took the time to chat. It's that personal touch you don't get everywhere. The service is genuinely warm and attentive, which made for a very pleasant evening.

Great spot in the Barbican. The atmosphere is perfect for a group dinner, and their wine list had a few interesting local options to explore.

Roast beef with Yorkshire pudding was solid, generous portions. The vegan nut roast is a decent option too. Service was efficient, got us in and out for a business lunch.

The food is pretty good, with nice spices and balanced flavours. You can tell they care about the cooking.

The garlic dip here is fantastic, really elevates their pizza. Had a glass of house red with it, a simple but spot-on pairing. The base could be a touch crispier for my taste, but that sauce keeps me coming back.

Been coming here for years, and their fish and chips never disappoint. The fish is always crispy, chips are proper. Sometimes they'll throw in a little extra, like a free side of mushy peas. Good, solid local chippy.

The festive platter was lovely for sharing. The main courses were a bit hit or miss, but the portions are satisfying.

I popped in for a light lunch and was really impressed by the freshness of the salad ingredients. The greens were crisp, and the chicken tasted properly grilled, not just reheated. The table service app made ordering easy, and it arrived quickly even when the bar area got a bit crowded. A solid choice for a simple, fresh meal.

The Sunday roast was pretty good, and the pate starter was a nice addition. Decent spot for watching the harbour.

Been coming here for years. The food's always solid, and they're really good with special requests. Even my mate who's a nightmare to order for gets sorted.

The view from the patio was everything. Just sitting there with my curry, watching the evening light fade over the rooftops. It was a proper moment of calm. The food was lovely, too, and didn't cost the earth.

Always a queue but it moves fast. Food's fresh and hot, perfect for grabbing a quick bite with mates.

The local beers on tap were solid, and the gin menu was a nice addition. Good spot for a casual pint.

Been coming here for years. The private room upstairs is always perfect for our family gatherings.

The burger was delicious. I really appreciated that they used fresh, locally sourced greens and a whole grain bun as an option. Made for a satisfying and balanced meal. The vibe here is nice, too.

The lamb shank was so tender and the spices were spot on. A really solid spot for a relaxed dinner with friends.

Ordered takeaway for a group, and I really appreciated how the staff handled our dietary questions. They knew the ingredients well. The food arrived still hot, and everything tasted fresh.

A proper cosy pub, this. The owner's a friendly chap - he was happy for us to bring in pasties from the bakery down the road. Sat outside with a pint and a pasty, just what you need.
