The buttermilk pancakes were just right. I make them at home a lot, so I'm picky. These were fluffy and warm, not a bit soggy.

Cozy spot, but the portions are a bit small for the price.

The crab-stuffed salmon was my pick. Really appreciated how generous they were with the crab meat—it tasted so fresh, no filler at all. The salmon itself was cooked just right. A solid choice for a healthy, satisfying meal.

Been coming here for years. The menu keeps things interesting. You've got your solid pastrami, corned beef, but they also throw in new stuff. Keeps me from getting bored.

Jackie was our server and she totally made the night! Super friendly, gave us the best tips on what to order for sharing. The vibe was perfect for catching up with friends.

The vibe here is so cozy and funky, love it. The New Orleans decor and music totally transport you. Perfect spot to just chill with a coffee and a book for a while.

The bread basket was nice to start. I had the Caesar salad and pasta - both were pretty good. The chicken portion was generous. Service was attentive, though the pacing felt a bit slow between courses. A solid dinner overall.

Mother's Day with a big group. They handled it fine. The steak came out a bit undercooked, but they fixed it quick. No fuss.

The tavern burger was solid, but honestly, the portion of fries for the price was the real win. Came with a huge basket, crispy and salty. My kid didn't even finish his, so I got extra. That's what I call value.

The burger was so juicy, and the fries were perfectly hot and crispy. I loved the beet salad with both yellow and red beets. It was a busy night, but we didn't mind waiting.

The outdoor tables on King Street are a lovely spot. The French-inspired decor inside is cozy and elegant, too. It was a comfortable place to have a quiet meal.

Breakfast omelette was massive. Couldn't finish it. Hash browns were the best part, crispy outside and soft inside. Just right.

This place is my go-to for a quick, cheap breakfast. Their Everyday Value Menu has most stuff under $10, which is solid. The space itself is just... fine. It's clean and bright, but the tables are a bit close together and the chairs aren't the comfiest for hanging out. Good for a fast bite, though.

Screwtop is my neighborhood wine spot. Their flights are perfect for trying new things, and the staff always has a good suggestion. The wine club picks are fun – got a great Spanish red last month.

Tried the spinach pie and gyro for a quick lunch. The gyro was solid, meat was well-seasoned. Spinach pie could've been warmer. Got my order in under 10 minutes though, which is what I needed. That fried zucchini with the white sauce? Yeah, I'll be back for that.

Nice spot for a weekend brunch. The avocado toast was flavorful and well-balanced. Croissants were flaky and buttery. Coffee was fine. A bit of a wait for a table, but overall a decent experience.

Selected for Must-Visit Restaurants in Washington D.C.

This place is a real find. Felt like I was eating at a friend's house, super cozy and no fuss. Perfect spot after checking out Ford's Theatre across the street.

The fish tacos are a must. Our server was really nice about a small mix-up with our order and took care of it right away.

The Hawaiian Chicken Club sandwich was tasty and filling. The side salad was a nice, fresh touch.

Our server was really helpful when we had questions about the menu. She explained a couple of the specials and didn't rush us at all. Made picking our dinner a lot easier.

Cheddar grits were a pleasant surprise. I don't usually order grits, but these were really good. The strawberry jam was a nice touch. Solid choice for a quick business lunch downtown.

Stopped in for a drink and a bite. The vibe is definitely more upscale pub than dive bar, which I liked. Had one of their craft cocktails—really well made. Menu looked solid, lots to choose from. Friendly staff.

The tapas selection is solid. Had the patatas bravas and the grilled octopus. Octopus was tender, nicely charred. The patatas could've used a bit more of that spicy sauce, but still good.

Stopped by for lunch. The pesto chicken sandwich was really good, especially with that garlic dip. Side salad was fresh and light. A bit pricey for what it is, but a decent spot.

The cheeseburger bacon sub here is huge! I was really impressed by how fresh the lettuce and tomato tasted. It's a big portion, so I ended up taking half home. The bun was soft too.

Portion size is huge. The platter with meat, two sides, and cornbread was almost too much for one person.

Booked a private room. Easy. They had it all ready when we got there. Staff checked on us just enough. Food was solid, big portions. Good for a group.

The Super Club sandwich is always a solid pick. The ingredients taste so fresh, and the bread is just right. I also love their Okinawa Hazelnut latte. It's a nice, comfortable spot to relax for a bit.
