TheForkUserFantastic service and wonderful food. The fish is prepared within minutes of your order and is delivered in a professional and courteous manner.
TheForkUserAs always it's an amazing place overall. Service, staff and food are all head and shoulders above the rest. Great wine list!
TheForkUserVery cozy space with good food and drinks. The sangria was awesome and the table service top notch.A bit loud for my taste. But a good experience to go back!
TheForkUserIt was very quiet and the owner was very attentive. We enjoyed a selection of starters and a nice bottle of wine. The desserts were good too. Overall an enjoyable evening.
TheForkUserInside of a fortress where the restaurant is hiding but what a found. The place, the food and the attention are fantastic a place we will try again and again.
TheForkUserTha ambience is delightful, with an open front to the street with comfortable chairs. Inside is a rather romantic space with well separated tables. We were recommended to order a small plate each followed by a shared larger dish. Quality was excellent and the glasses of recommended wines unusual and well chosen. Followed by a shared desert. It was a pleasure, wuth knowledgeable cheerful service
TheForkUserThank you for a wonderful dinner with my uncle that I haven't seen in over 10 years. Everything was great, but the service could show some improvement if some of the staff could be more friendly with more smiles and courtesy. We had a great time overall.
TheForkUserThe food was amazing, the combination of flavours were surprising and enticing. The service could use more Michelin-level training. The snacks were beautifully presented until the server tipped it over when showing us the wine list - he proceeded to clean up but with no apologies which made us feel it was out fault as the table was tiny, and the bowl the snacks came in had a tiny foot - not great as accidents will and did happen. We ordered a bottle wine, but they thought we had wine pairing and started to serve until a colleague stopped him but without telling us, until he came back with the bottle of wine. When our server took our order, we had added an extra cheese plate, and he said he will check with us at dessert if we still want it. He did, and we said to cancel it - however, another server came and said it was already prepared - it's cheese, they could have cancel it, but we took it anyways. So, overall, the service needs to be improved for the level of restaurant that it is.
TheForkUserUnbelievable food. Trio of bruschetta to start was fantastic. Lasagne was best I’ve ever had and the tiramisu was incredible. Highly highly recommend!
TheForkUserWe thoroughly enjoyed our meal at DeCastro Gaia. The restaurant was very kind to accommodate our request for a table adjacent to a window with a terrific view of the bridge. Both appetizers and entres were excellent, as was the selection of ports. The dining room is a great size, not too large yet intimate at the same time. We did not venture upstairs to the roof terrace, although there is a relatively steady stream of guests passing through the dining room en route to the roof. We would happily return again when next in Porto.
TheForkUserGenerous, fresh, delicious seafood. Beautifully presented with great service. Did not expect t.v displaying football at high quality restaurant, but understand local passion for sport. Did not retract from our wedding anniversary experience.
TheForkUserExcelente Bife a portuguesa! soft, tasty, well cooked, a delight. The space is very nice and have a beautiful wall mural with lovely fantasy drawings of funny characters
TheForkUserCheeses and sausages of the best quality served in a very welcoming environment! Highlight for the friendliness of the staff.
TheForkUserExcellent food. tapas portions big enough for 2 to share. we had 4 altogether and was more then enough. really tasty food and excellent service. there was live music on while we were there which added to the fantastic atmosphere!
TheForkUserthe staff was super nice and so was the food. we ordered two “house” cocktails and they were good, but my friend’s had ?sugar? on the outside of the cup which made her fingers dirty when she picked it up ☹️
TheForkUserA very good taste of the true Portuguese cuisine with prices that can be handled by the Portuguese people. Plus it is located in one the of the best areas of Porto. I will definitely come back 👏
TheForkUserIt was a great experience, there was nothing wrong about the restaurant, and for once in my life I was excited for a salad.
TheForkUserThe wait staff at Mercado Food and Drinks are the best in all of Porto!! When you go to eat at Mercado, you will eat a delicious meal and be treated like royalty!
TheForkUserI chose this restaurant to have dinner with my father on my birthday, as I know that the quality and ambience is always consistent. I introduced to my father to the Bacalhau a Braga, and he agreed that it was just as fresh and tasty as I had described! Thank you for providing a great meal on my special day!
TheForkUserThe food was absolutely wonderful. Every dish was full of flavor & making you wish you had room for more. I would highly recommend this amazing food experience.
TheForkUserLovely restaurant, would highly recommend. The Sashimi was outstanding. What a delightful place to have lunch overlooking the ocean
TheForkUserFriendly and polite staff. Nice and quiet restaurant to have dinners with family or friends. I ordered a hamburguer and it was very tasty.
TheForkUserAn excellent restaurant with an iconic Portuguese menu and extensive and prodigious wine cellar that will make you mouthwatering. The service is exceptional and you will genuinely feel welcomed and looked after. The top Portuguese cuisine allied to the impeccable service and stunning views over the city and Douro river, will make your experience unforgettable. Well done to Chef João Vieira and his Team.
TheForkUserA quit and comfortable place. Some portions were a bit small for the price (E.g.: bass fish filet) but all in all, a lovely restaurant.
TheForkUserThe food was exceptional and it was impossible to choose a favorite dish. The wine pairings were perfect and the staff was lovely. What a gem!
TheForkUserExcellent staff who tolerated my feeble attempts to order in Portuguese. (I sound Spanish, apparently). And more importantly, the food was fresh, well-plated and reasonable. Great place in a beautiful neighborhood. MM
TheForkUserAmazing food, good staff and the space has an unique vibe. Shout out to the waitress from Argentina, she was so nice and made us feel home
TheForkUserlovely food and service as usual. only the seasoning on the fish skin was too salty for me. home made iced tea is lovely. décor is very nice
_TI***1jThe quality of the food was impressive, especially the well-prepared shrimp, which were both tasty and generously portioned.
TheForkUserAn Unforgettable Culinary Experience! From start to finish, this restaurant delivered an exceptional dining experience, showcasing top-quality ingredients and creativity.the artisanal bread, paired with a unique bautifull chilly and flavorful butter, was simply outstanding. The veal truffles were a must-try—delicate and packed with flavor.Creative Wellington A twist on the classic, infused with the deep, rich flavors of rabo de boi and finished with a luscious meat jus.Magret de Pato Cooked to perfection, complemented by a fragrant orange reduction and a rich veal sauce. The potato layers de with truffle zest was a surprise on its own crispy, delicate, and bursting with aroma.Passion Fruit Cheesecake For those who prefer a lighter, more refreshing dessert, this was perfection—not overly sweet, just beautifully balanced. Chocolate Mousse A dream for chocolate lovers like my husband, made with high-quality chocolate that melts in your mouth.
