Superb innovative food. One of the best meals I have had in Spain or anywhere else! Service was charming and attentive and each dish was explained. Highly recommended.

We were greeted with warmth even though we arrived late due to the fact our gps was confused, it was dark, and we had never been to El Palancar. The staff took our lack of Spanish language skills with grace and even recruited someone who appeared to be a long-term customer to occasionally help translate as needed. We asked our waiter to choose our dishes and he chose well! We shared 3 tapas. They were all excellent but we thought the mushroom lasagne was outstanding. The others (I’m guessing here) were a salmon pate and a chorizo-filled filo pastry. My husband easily had the best pork dish he has ever had —grilled, marinated pork collar (again, guess) on a creamy, buttery, potato sauce and I had grilled cod. It was tender and grilled to perfection. We finished with a shared piece of orange cake with a thin, but rich and tasty layer of chocolate icing. Accompanied with wine, the bill was extremely reasonable particularly considering the quality of the service and the food. It was a true dining experience! Well worth the driving adventure and distance.

In this charming hilltop town sits the Paradore Guadalupe. We ate dinner by a rill in stunning gardens with the sound of running water in the warm night air.Delicious local ingredients went into the really flavourful dishes served by efficient and eager staff. Would highly recommend both the Paradore to stay in and it’s restaurant to dine in.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Well prepared and delicious dishes. The atmosphere was very well taken care of. They offered us the terrace, but in the end we ate inside the restaurant.

Cáceres is a city in central and western Spain and the capital of Cáceres Province. It is located in the Extremadura region, on the south bank of the Tagus River. The entire landscape here is open. Its history can be traced back to the Paleolithic Age in 20,000 BC. As one of the best-preserved world heritage cities, there are a large number of palaces, national churches, towers, and official residences within its Moorish walls. The three cultures of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism have left amazing artistic expressions in this ancient city! These buildings are medieval in nature. Traveling through Cáceres can take you to the complex past and integrate into the present. This is also one of the filming locations for "Game of Thrones". When I was walking through the ancient city, I happened to encounter the closing parade of the music festival! The atmosphere is great! 🍽️There are countless attractions in the ancient city, and there are cultural traces everywhere! There is a modern urban atmosphere outside the ancient city. I found a small shop called "Restaurant Borona" which is very distinctive. The "Restaurant Torre de Sande" in the ancient city is very classic from indoors to outdoors~ It is very suitable for spending a wonderful night in the ancient city! 🏨We stayed at Hotel Casa Pizarro this time, a very distinctive hotel. It was restored with the iconic building at the end of the 18th century. It has a sense of historical precipitation. The decoration is my favorite style. The spiral staircase in the central hall is very distinctive, the service is also very good, and there are many smart control devices in the room. When you open the balcony, you can look at the neighbors around and feel the life atmosphere of this old city! In particular, Museo de Arte Contemporaneo Helga de Alvear, Salvatierra de Santiago and Palace of the Marqueses de Torreorgaz are near the hotel, which is very convenient! #赏古城历史建筑 #西班牙旅行 #西班牙美食 #大美西班牙
