Absinthe Bistro

A variety of different starters and main courses and of course a biryani. The starters were absolutely amazing as I expected. The texture, taste and quality were all very pure and amazing. The gravy was very tasty and the biryani had a wonderful aroma and tasted very authentic. As for the desserts, they were just as good as the best mithais. For special occasions and business meetings, I highly recommend Nawab Saheb Restaurant, you will love it.

This wonderful bistro feels a bit like being in France, no doubt because the chef trained in Lyon. This was probably the best food I've had since I've been there, and the prices were very reasonable.

There are quite a lot of dishes at lunch time, including a lot of seafood. We ordered a few pieces of fish which all tasted pretty good. The duck legs were also very delicious. The dessert after the meal was also good, which was chocolate cake.

Absinthe Bistro is at its new address: 952 Commercial Drive. The ceiling has changed from scarlet to black and white stripes. A notice is posted on the door: "Closed for business on November 3, 2019, reopening on the 6th. Please email to make a reservation." The latest menu is on the door, which can be ordered a la carte or purchased at a set price: appetizer + main course + dessert = $48.
