The beef carvery was incredible, honestly. The owner and staff were so lovely and had a great sense of humour. They really went out of their way to make sure we were looked after.

The curry sauce is always spot on. Thick and full of flavour, never watery. That's why I keep coming back.

The honey chilli chicken was so tender! We ended up with leftovers, which was perfect for a lazy next-day lunch with my flatmate.

The team here are just so lovely. Our server remembered my name from a visit a few months back, which was a really nice touch. They're attentive without hovering, you know? Makes a difference.

Plenty of parking. Great to find such variety on a pub menu, available online at the Vintage Inns site, along with any allergy details for which you may need to allow. Driving today, so was not able to sample the Doom Bar beer. Pepsi Max and Fruity fizzy drinks, instead. Well chilled. Chose the Crab Cake starter & Moroccan Chicken skewers. Food was perfectly prepared with fantastic taste. Fairly quiet early on a Monday evening, but still a pleasant environment with gentle background music. Not the best weather this evening, but noted the outdoor seating is well furnished and extensive for a hot, sunny day. A couple of steps down to the main restaurant area, but the Inn had noted our booking requirements and had thankfully allocated us a table in the quiet part of the upper area.

Lovely spot for a village pub. The lamb burger was spot on, and the cheese chips were a nice touch. My steak came with a decent red wine suggestion that really worked. Kids ate well too. A bit pricey, but you're paying for the location.

The fish and chips were decent, a proper portion for the price. It's solid pub food, nothing fancy. The welcome was warm, which was nice, but I'm really just looking at the plate. For what you pay, you get a good feed.

Best chip butty I've had in ages, honestly. The bread was spot on. Washed it down with a surprisingly decent pint of lager, which cut through the richness perfectly. A proper little lunch.

Been coming here for years, and their curry is still the best in town. Always packed, but they never rush you.

Love the hot sandwiches here, especially the chicken pesto. The bread is always fresh and the fillings are super generous. Grabbed one for lunch today and it hit the spot.

The Sunday roast was the star. The beef was tender, cooked just right, and the gravy had a proper depth of flavour. The vegan option was solid too, with a good nut roast. Could have done with a few more roast potatoes, but the ones they had were crispy and fluffy inside.

Got the three-course lunch special. Food came out fast even though the place was packed. Solid meal for the price. Service was a bit slow due to the crowd, but that's fine when you're in a hurry for a quick bite.

The food was delicious, with perfect flavors and beautifully cooked dishes. The chef even sent over an amuse-bouche that was stunning!

We held our wedding reception here. The space is lovely - bright and full of character, perfect for a relaxed celebration. Amy and her team were brilliant throughout.

You can taste the freshness in every bite. I love that you can see them preparing everything right there. It just makes the whole meal feel more genuine.

The food is always lovely. I really appreciated Ana's service - she was so attentive and friendly, which made the whole evening feel relaxed and easy. A very pleasant spot for a quiet meal.

Surprise 80th birthday party in the private room. Staff, particularly Megan, handled decorations and cake delivery efficiently. Everything ran smoothly, which was crucial for our group. The space itself worked well for the size of our gathering.

The chicken burger was spot on, juicy and well-seasoned. The Beyond burger for our veggie friend looked really good too, she finished the lot. Chunky chips were proper, crispy outside. A solid meal, no complaints.

Came in for a birthday party. Staff were really patient with a bunch of noisy kids, which was the main thing. The little ones got to help make their own desserts, which they loved.

The grilled octopus was the standout. Perfectly charred, tender inside, not rubbery at all. That smoky flavour with the lemon and herbs was spot on.

We popped in for a family lunch. Russ prepared our meals, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the salad greens were crisp. It's nice to find a place that clearly cares about the quality of their produce.

Been coming here for years. The new look is much brighter and cleaner, which is a nice change. Had the fish and chips today, still as good as ever. Just feels a bit more pleasant to sit in now.

Popped in for lunch. Got the dirty fries with chilli and cheese. Ate them outside with a half Guinness. Messy but good. The old building is pretty cool inside.

Been coming here for years, and the breakfast is always spot on. Doesn't matter how packed it gets, the eggs and bacon are consistently hot and fresh off the griddle. That kind of reliable quality keeps me coming back.

Been here a few times now. The place just feels comfortable. They've got a nice, warm look going on, even the plates match the whole vibe. It's a good spot to unwind after a long day.

The folk band playing was a lovely surprise. Really set a nice, relaxed mood for the meal. My fish and chips were solid, though the chips could have been a bit crisper. A nice touch for a Wednesday night.
