The short rib was so tender, just fell apart. And that smash burger had a great crust on it. Drinks were good too, a solid list. A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for.

Nice spot for a post-hike pint. The log fire was a plus on a chilly day. Atmosphere is relaxed, and they have a friendly dog. Good selection of local ales. Service was efficient.

The food's quality is a real surprise for the price. Staff are quick and seem genuinely happy to be there, which makes a difference. My main was spot on, though the sides could've been warmer.

Perfect for a quick lunch. Had the chicken sandwich - fresh, tasty, and came out fast. The old bank building is a cool spot to grab a bite. Service was efficient. Got me in and out in under 30 mins.

Stopped here on our Coast to Coast trek. The camping spot was a lifesaver! Food portions are huge and tasted like a proper home-cooked meal. Just what you need after a long day's walk.

Ordered online for a quick bite while traveling. Food was hot and ready exactly when they said it would be. 👍

Solid doner kebab spot. The meat was nicely seasoned and the pita was fresh. I grabbed a local lager with it, which cut through the richness perfectly. Hit the spot for a casual bite.

The food was really tasty and came out piping hot. Just what I needed after a long day walking around. The service was quick and friendly, which was nice.

The three floors make it feel quite spacious. The booths are perfect for a quiet date, and their wine list had some lovely options to pair with the meal.

Full English breakfast, spot on. The bacon was proper crispy, eggs just runny enough. Went with a decent house ale, really hit the spot for a lazy Sunday. Only thing, the black pudding could've been a touch warmer. Solid.

Perfect for a quick bite. Their all-day breakfast is a treat, and they have solid gluten-free options. Got the eggs benedict, came out fast. Good spot when you're in a rush.

The staff are genuinely lovely. They let us know when dishes were being cooked fresh, which was a nice touch. It meant we could pair our wine with the timing - a crisp white with the starters, then a red for the mains. Service like that makes the evening.

Solid spot for a quick bite. The fish and chips are decent, not greasy at all. Good for a reliable lunch. Location's handy with a big car park nearby, makes it easy. Just what you need when you're in a rush.

Been coming here for years, and the Cumbria rarebit is always spot on. It's the one thing I order every time – never disappoints. Service is friendly, no fuss. Just a solid, reliable meal.

Loved the high seats here, they give you a bit of privacy without feeling closed off. The whole vibe is just right for a relaxed meal. Food arrived super hot, which is always a plus.

Ordered delivery to our campsite, which was a lifesaver. The driver was super nice, and my pad thai was still steaming hot when it got here. Perfect for a chilly night under the stars.

The goulash is a proper, hearty portion. The chicken and ham pie is packed with filling too. It’s the kind of food that just feels right for a cosy, low-lit pub like this.

First time here for breakfast. Got the cheese on sourdough and a sausage roll. The sourdough was spot on, really good texture. Staff were quick and friendly. Nice local spot.

The pistachio-crumbed lamb was perfectly pink and just fell apart. Really enjoyed it.

Stopped by on a whim. The lady working was so cheerful, she suggested a sandwich. It was actually really tasty. For what you pay, the portion was decent. Felt like a proper, no-fuss lunch.

The steak and ale pie was the highlight for me. The crust was just right, and the filling was so hearty. They even gave us extra gravy for the chips, which was a nice touch. Really solid pub grub.

A warm welcome and quick service. The all-day breakfast was really good, the bacon in particular was nicely done. Everything tasted fresh. A solid spot for a casual meal.

They went out of their way to get lactose-free cheese for my allergy, which was so thoughtful. My pasta was ready in no time and tasted lovely. A really nice touch.
