TheForkUserThe setting is superb, as is the food which was both generous and of a high quality. Staff very friendly and helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
TheForkUserWonderful food (exceeded our expectations!), perfect setting. Would love to come back next time we are in Carcassonne.
TheForkUserThe place is unique in Narbonne next to the Robine and so quiet. Raj the waiter is very sympathetic and helpful. The food is excellent using fresh local vegetables, highly recommended !
TheForkUserWe had the "tentations" menu ( the priciest one). It was worth the price, especially the re-constructed flavours and the wine pairings. If like attention to subtle culinary detail, you'll love this experience. It really made my birthday memorable.
TheForkUserApart from the problem of finding a taxi from the centre of Carcassonne to get to the place everything there after was more than we’d hoped for. On arrival we were met by a warm and friendly lady got the evening going by guiding us down to the restaurant and the waiting staff who led us through the evening with great skill but friendliness as well. The food and drink were so far beyond what I was expecting that I’m not sure how we can go any better. 10/10 doesn’t do the place justice
TheForkUserWe saw this place and booked before we arrived in Carcassonne. The food was all home cooked to perfection. The waitress was helpful and friendly and atmosphere wonderful. I had steak and my husband pork. The food was simple, very reasonably priced and ice cream pudding delicious. We would highly recommend La Taverne Modern.
TheForkUserAn excellent and enjoyable New Year’s day lunch. The service was first class, and the food splendid in terms of quality and expertise in preparation. I cannot speak too highly of the cooking skill , the ingredients, the ambience and the enjoyment of our visit to L’O.
TheForkUserGreat food if somewhat confusing service. We think they did not put our order through as the tables around us, who ordered after us, were served well before us! However, once we were served it was all delicious and worth the wait. The cassoulet was very good indeed as was the bouquet of vegetables entrée with tapenade. Alas, we had no room for a dessert which looked very tempting on adjacent tables, especially the Valrhona chocolate finger. An apology for the very delayed service would have been nice but we didn’t complain as the waiter and waitress were very pleasant.
TheForkUserI had the pleasure of dining in a lovely restaurant where the food truly delighted me, just as much as the attentive service I received.
TheForkUserGood food tasty, served well nice crew with a lot of parience
TheForkUserWe ate 3 times at this restaurant while staying at the Chateau de Palaja beside it. Fabulous food and lovely ambience on each occasion.
TheForkUserWe were a group of 9 people with 5 children and they’ve organized a beautiful table with some privacy that helped a lot not being stressed with bothering anyone else. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, small little touches that made it an exquisite experience.
TheForkUserGreat experience! We will return!
TheForkUserMy wife, her sister & husband, and I came here for dinner. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The menu was outstanding, and the food was perfectly prepared and presented with lots of attention to detail and nuance. The chef spent a lot of time with us explaining the dishes, discussing which ones were suitable to be prepared gluten-free, and making wine pairing recommendations. Everything was amazing. Top notch and highly recommended.
TheForkUserAfter booking online with TheFork, we arrived only to find Le Coq totally closed with a hand written note on the window. We then had to walk the streets trying to find somewhere else to eat.
TheForkUserWe went to the restaurant, and had the loveliest time. The owner is the kindest human being. Really lovely! The food wasDelicious. Super yummy !
TheForkUserFirst visit after recommendation from friends Whole evening was lovely from the food to the service. Looking forward to making it a regular visit.
TheForkUserIt was our first time in Carcassone because we were traveling around France. It's awsome: the place is quiet, the waiter told us about the ingredients because we are spanish and the food was incredible. If I return to Carcassone I will go there again for sure!
TheForkUserFine dining in a beautiful location & at reasonable cost for food of this quality.Highly recommended & worth seeking out if staying in the Carcassonne area...
TheForkUserVery disappointing. Very limited menu unless you like pork. Ambiance was terrible. Server seemed disinterested. We ended up walking out.
_TI***qqI had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The vegan options are impressive, especially the vegan cassoulet, which was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming.
TheForkUserA wonderful setting - sadly the weather wasn’t great so we dined inside - but the restaurant is tastefully decorated. The menu was seasonal and interesting. We were not disappointed - all our dishes tasted wonderful. The only downside - 2 large tables of what we assume were corporate guests. Their noise took over the whole restaurant. It was a shame they didn’t have their own dining room. But. We will be back - and probably quite frequently when in Beziers.
_TI***fqWhat a fabulous surprise! Each dish was meticulously presented and bursting with flavor, complemented by exceptional service from the wait staff.
_TI***ntChez Christine offers a remarkable dining experience with a menu that showcases both traditional and modern cuisine. Every course we tried was delicious, making it a must-visit for food lovers.
TheForkUserGreat food and service. Cassoulet was sensational - restaurant had a fantastic welcoming. Would definitely come again.
