The steak and ale pie was the main event. The pastry was flaky and buttery, the filling rich with tender beef and a proper gravy. Could have done with a few more chunks of meat, but the flavour was spot on. That's what you come for.

Great for a last-minute group booking upstairs. They set up a private bar with a dedicated bartender. Everything was handled quickly and smoothly.

Love how quiet it is here. Perfect for catching up without shouting. The comfy seats in the TV corner just made the whole afternoon so relaxed. A nice escape from the usual cafe buzz.

When I booked this, it escaped me that it was situated in the Café Royal Hotel. What a beautiful setting, on the balcony of the main reception to the hotel; and what history. Adorning the walls are memorabilia of days gone by and the rich and famous, who frequented the hotel. For instance, adjacent the dining area is an annexe that was home to the final performance of David Bowie as his alter ego, Ziggy Stardust. Elsewhere, there are pictures of Lulu, Mick Jagger and Lou Reed and many others. We chose to eat from the set menu and the food was superb. Service was swift without being rushed, and tables are well spaced so even when busy there is no feeling of being cramped, indeed quite intimate at our generous round (as many of them are) table. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant as a must see place, and we’ll be back too as it’s just too good for a one off visit. As a post matinee theatre dinner, this was perfect for us, a haven in an otherwise bustling area of London.

Found this spot by accident upstairs. Really quiet, nice view. Got a vegan croissant and a matcha latte. The croissant was flaky, latte not too sweet. Just what I needed for a slow afternoon.

Been a regular for a decade now. The new St James's spot is great, feels more private. Honestly, I keep coming back for the grilled salmon. It's just always spot on, never had a bad one. That consistency is what does it for me.

Cocktails are well made, but priced like the small plates. You're paying for the creativity, not just the drink. It's a premium experience.

Been coming here for years, and the pizza's thin crust is always just right. Never had a soggy one, even when I get it delivered. That's what keeps me coming back.

Leo's cocktail masterclass was a delight. He's so personable and really knows his stuff. The drinks weren't just tasty, they were little works of art on the bar. That kind of care is rare.

The free bread and hummus is a nice starter. But the real star was the rice pudding with coconut and white almonds. It was so good, I almost ordered another portion. That's where the value is for me.

Highly recommend the bottomless brunch! The drinks were continuously refilled, and the staff, especially Olivia, made the experience enjoyable.

The afternoon tea was decent with the voucher. I really liked the fresh ingredients in the sandwiches.

Lovely tucked-away spot in Marylebone. The wine list had some interesting local options that paired nicely with the relaxed vibe.

The cheese and wine tasting was a lovely way to spend an evening. The staff's guidance through the pairings was spot on—learned a thing or two without it feeling like a lecture. Just a relaxed, enjoyable little journey for the palate.

Good ingredients, decent portions. Worth the price.

Lovely spot for a drink. Sat in the garden on a sunny afternoon, the river views are just perfect. That outdoor atmosphere really is something special.

The Hazel Special with aubergine cheese sauce. That was the one. The aubergine was perfectly soft, the sauce had a smoky depth to it. Honestly, it topped a few versions I tried in Turkey itself. The rest of the meal was fine, but that dish is what I'll remember.

Evening half-price sushi is a solid deal. Got there early and snagged a seat, but it definitely fills up fast. The salmon nigiri was fresh and hit the spot. Just be prepared for it to get a bit lively once the rush starts.

Rum punch packs a punch, no joke. Cocktails are strong and well-crafted. Had the ginger cake for dessert – that one's a keeper. Perfect for a quick, potent treat.

The dim sum was spot on, and the view of planes landing was a nice touch. Their house red actually paired quite well with the richer dishes.

I’m gluten free so delighted there was a separate menu and also crumble for pudding ! Great food and the service was great too

Came for the fish and chips. The batter was surprisingly light, not greasy at all, which let the flavour of the fish itself really come through. A solid choice for a casual dinner.

A decent spot for a casual meal. The traditional decor is nice, and it's quite spacious.

The French Martini was spot on. I also had the prawns starter, which was fresh and generous. But the real highlight was how comfortable the seats were - you can settle in for a proper chat without feeling rushed. A really pleasant evening.

Portions are huge, which I love. The fish and chips were spot on, crispy batter and proper chips. The chef knows what they're doing.

The chicken and pasta soup was a solid, quick lunch. Broth was flavourful and filling. The warm bread bun was a nice touch.

Jack and Sam were so attentive. They remembered our drink orders and checked in just the right amount. Really made the evening feel relaxed.

The steak ciabatta was a highlight, and the chocolate fondant was incredible. Portions are generous, especially the cheese board.

The chaat is incredible, haven't found better anywhere. The pani puri is a standout too. But the spicy mogo chips are the real hidden gem. Portions are generous for the price, you get a good amount.

Been coming here for years, and I always get the cod fritters. They're just consistently good - crispy outside, flaky inside, and the seasoning is spot on every single time. That's why I keep coming back.
