Been coming here for years, and the quality never dips. That&#39;s why I keep coming back.

The frozen yoghurt machine was actually working! I hadn&#39;t seen it in years. It was a lovely, cool treat. The seating area was a bit cramped, but it was a nice surprise to end the meal with.

The old building has so much character. Felt warm and cosy the moment we stepped in. Just the right kind of place for a quiet dinner.

The pretzel with rarebit dip is a solid snack with a pint. The bubble and squeak balls had a nice jalape&ntilde;o kick.

The apple Tarte Tatin was a nice finish. I appreciated the generous portion, and the ice cream was a good match. The apples still had a bit of texture, which I always look for&mdash;means they&#39;re fresh and not overcooked. A solid choice if you want something sweet but not too heavy.

Bella was great at lunch. The chefs singing happy birthday was a nice touch.

The ingredients in their pad thai tasted really fresh, which is so important to me. A solid choice for a healthy takeaway.

The papaya salad here is the real deal. It&#39;s got that perfect balance of spicy, sour, and sweet, just like the ones I had from street stalls in Bangkok. Really takes me back. The rest of the menu is solid, but that salad is the star for me.

I haven&#39;t been to the Fishers Pond so this was a trip back in time.  The setting is still as I remember, obviously the staff and menu wasn&#39;t going to be the same but I wasn&#39;t disappointed,  the menu provides a variety of dishes and the roast which we chose was probably one of the best i have had.  As for the staff, friendly and efficient, so big 10/10 to all!

The restaurant was Christmassy and the waitress went out of her way to be helpful particularly as I have a food allergy.  The ambience was lovely and the food really nice.  All in all a lovely lunch!

Caught the match here last night. It&#39;s a solid spot for sports - the screens are huge and the atmosphere gets really lively when it&#39;s busy. My only gripe was the wait for a pint during half-time, but that&#39;s to be expected on a big game night. Would come back with the group.
