I'd passed by this shop several times before without noticing it; the location is indeed a bit hard to find. The owner is very honest; when I paid, he gave me a small dish of dried plum and vegetable pancakes from his hometown, saying they were homemade. This small gesture was very thoughtful; the food wasn't expensive, but the sentiment was appreciated. I suggest you keep an eye out for it if you go.
Wow, this place is absolutely amazing! A must-try for those who love strong flavors! The spicy chicken cubes were so fragrant, they were both numbing and spicy, and incredibly satisfying. They're the perfect match for an ice-cold beer! The only downside is that the restaurant is a bit small, so if you come late during peak hours, you might not get a seat. I recommend going early!
This shop is truly hidden away! It's located inside Houtun Village, and it looks unremarkable from the outside. But when I pushed open the door, I was immediately blown away! 😲 The signature Maoxuewang (a spicy Sichuan dish) is absolutely amazing. The first bite sent a numbing and spicy sensation straight to my head, followed by a mouthful of fragrance. It was so satisfying! Haha!
