I passed by this restaurant before and saw it was packed, so I went in to try it out. The owner was really welcoming; seeing I was ordering alone, he advised me not to order too much, saying it would be wasteful for one person to finish. I listened to him and ordered two of their signature dishes. The taste was home-style, nothing fancy, but very comforting. The ambiance was just a regular little eatery, don't expect anything fancy, but it was clean. The prices were reasonable too; it didn't cost much for one person. I suggest you give it a try if you happen to be passing by, but don't do what I did and try to order too many dishes at first; just listen to the owner, you won't regret it.
I'd passed by this shop several times before but never went in, but this time my friend insisted on dragging me there. He ordered the sesame egg, saying it was a secret menu item. I didn't have high expectations, but after taking a bite, it was surprisingly good. The outer layer was fluffy, while the inside was still tender, and the sweetness wasn't overpowering, but rather a subtle, melting sweetness. I suggest you ask the owner for this next time; it doesn't seem to be on the menu. Anyway, I've definitely remembered it, and I'll bring my family back next time.
There are quite a few long-established halal restaurants around here, but this one is considered one of the more reputable ones. Their beef stew with flatbread is truly excellent; the broth is savory and flavorful, and the beef is generously portioned, unlike some places that skimp on the portions. The garlic-fried lamb is also perfectly cooked—the garlic aroma is irresistible, yet the meat remains tender. I come here every now and then, just for this.
