The location is easy to find; it's on the northwest corner of the intersection. I went on a weekday at lunchtime, and it wasn't crowded, so there was no queue. I took the bus there, and it's just a short walk from the stop. I ordered their signature dish; it was alright, nothing amazing but nothing bad either. As for the price, it cost a little over 100 yuan for two people, which seemed about average. It's the kind of place you can eat at if you're just passing by, but not worth making a special trip for.
I took my kids there once before. The three of us ordered a set meal, and we couldn't finish it all. It's just over fifty yuan per person, and you can eat until you're stuffed. The portion sizes are really student-friendly. I suggest you don't order too much at once. Bring a few dishes first, and add more if you're still hungry. We overestimated ourselves that time and left a lot of food, so we packed it up and ate it again at home.
Help! I'm still thinking about the spicy broth at this hot pot restaurant even after I got back! 😭 We ordered a half-and-half pot. The spicy broth was so numbing and fragrant! Just a few seconds in the tripe and it was coated in that rich, buttery aroma – so addictive! The clear broth was also quite flavorful. My friend drank several bowls, saying it was even richer than homemade soup. Even I, who don't usually like soup, finished two bowls! Haha. But I have to complain: the spicy broth gets spicier the longer it cooks. If you can't handle spice, remember to ask the server to add more broth early. We added it too late, and when we were cooking the vegetables, I was hissing and gasping for breath from the spiciness, but I just couldn't stop eating! Amazing! Next time I go, I'm definitely ordering medium spicy; mild is no longer enough for me.
