I passed by this shop before and saw it was packed with people, so I figured it must be good and went in to order a lamb offal soup and a roujiamo (Chinese hamburger). The lamb offal soup was indeed generously portioned, and the broth was very flavorful, not the kind of MSG-laden taste. The roujiamo had a crispy outer shell that crumbled when you bit into it, and the meat inside was perfectly balanced between lean and fatty, not greasy at all. These two dishes cost around thirty yuan and were quite filling for one person. I recommend going around lunchtime when it's less crowded; the lines get pretty long in the evening.
I passed by this shop this morning and was drawn in by the steaming aroma wafting from the doorway. I ordered a baked bun, and it was so crispy and crumbly that it practically crumbled when I bit into it. The millet porridge was free, thick and flavorful, and it warmed me comfortably with the pickled vegetables. The shop wasn't crowded, and it was quiet and peaceful. I slowly finished my meal in the morning light, feeling completely relaxed. These little shops are so nice; you don't have to rush, and you can sit and daydream for a while after your meal.
This restaurant is easy to find, located on a main street. The interior has a classic Chinese retro style and is quite clean. The air conditioning is great, making it comfortable to sit inside in the summer. I ordered one of their signature dishes, and it was delicious – no disappointments. It's a great place to go when you don't want to bother finding a restaurant.
