I passed by this place before and saw a long queue, so I bought a guokui (a type of flatbread). The filling was definitely generous; it was so crumbly that it practically crumbled when you took a bite. I really appreciate that it's made to order; it loses its crispiness when it cools down. But a word of advice: don't buy too many at once. This stuff tastes best when eaten hot; it gets soggy after a while.
The guokui (a type of flatbread) is freshly baked; you can get it in three to five minutes. You must eat it while it's hot—that's when the crispiness is truly delicious. Every time I go, I watch the chef take it out of the oven; it's scalding hot, but I just can't resist taking a bite. If you're going, avoid peak meal times, as there will be long queues. It's best to go at different times.
The freshly baked guokui smells so good! The aroma alone is enough to draw me in as I pass by. One bite and it's so crispy and warm. Don't you guys love the smell of street vendors too? I know I can't resist it every time I smell it, haha. I bought mine from that stall at the alley entrance, only six yuan each.
