Stepping inside felt like stepping back into my childhood. An old-fashioned ceiling fan whirred slowly, and the menu on the wall was still handwritten in chalk. I ordered a braised pork set meal for only 28 yuan. The pork was stewed until tender and flavorful, and it tasted especially delicious with rice. Sitting by the window, watching the sycamore leaves fall one by one, I suddenly felt a sense of peace.

This place was so hard to find! It was hidden in a residential area and got me all confused, but as soon as I walked in, I knew I'd come to the right place. It was really noisy, but the sound of the guys at the next table playing drinking games mixed with the wok hei of the stir-fry was strangely exciting. Don't you also like this kind of noisy, down-to-earth feeling? Haha!

The free corn porridge and pickled vegetables tasted just like the ones I ate when I was a kid. The cold-cut pork knuckle was a really big portion, stewed until very tender, and the price was reasonable. I've ordered it at other places before, and the meat was tough and expensive, so I recommend you order this when you come here—it's all-you-can-eat.
