直隶绝顶焖面

This shop is right across from the Zhili Governor's Mansion, a perfect spot to walk over after visiting the Ancient Lotus Pond. I specifically researched it; their donkey meat sandwiches are freshly baked, and the crust is exceptionally crispy, unlike the soft, soggy ones from other places. I recommend eating them while they're hot; the taste diminishes when they cool down.

This braised noodles are really good! The noodles are incredibly chewy, and the green beans are fresh. The portion is huge; the two of us couldn't finish one serving. I recommend going early, as there might be a queue during peak hours.

The mushroom soup is indeed good; we love to drink it when it's cold here. The braised pork rice is also okay, but locals actually go to the few places in the old alley more often.
