The fried dough sticks and sugar crackers are freshly fried! They're still piping hot when they're served, and one bite and they're so crispy they crumble, yet still chewy inside. They give a generous amount of brown sugar, you can taste it in every bite, and the sweetness is just right—even more fragrant than the sugar crackers I had in Tianjin! Absolutely amazing! 😋
This self-service congee shop offers unlimited refills for only 3 yuan, which is such a great deal! They have a wide selection of tofu pudding, soy milk, and millet congee, and it's especially comforting to eat with fried dough sticks. I recommend going early, as the fried dough sticks are most fragrant when they're fresh out of the fryer.
Locals don't really go there much, but tourists absolutely love it. Their fried dough sticks, three yuan each, are thicker than other places, and they're amazing soaked in soy milk.
