You absolutely must order the Tong Le ribbonfish! The skin is fried to a perfect crisp, and don't waste the sauce—it's amazing with rice! 😋 Their braised pork belly is also a long-standing specialty; it's stewed until incredibly tender, practically falling apart with a gentle touch, and it's incredibly fragrant when mixed with rice. Go early, otherwise the ribbonfish might sell out quickly.

This shop is tucked away in an alley; stepping inside seems to slow down the pace of time. The wooden tables are warm to the touch, and the leaves of the potted green ivy by the window are almost touching the ground. I ordered a bowl of their signature scallion oil noodles. The noodles were chewy, and the aroma of oil mixed with the scallion's caramel scent wafted up, suddenly reminding me of my grandmother's kitchen when I was a child.

This is an old establishment in our area, and there's fairly ample parking. Actually, locals don't go there much, but their braised pork is really good—a huge pot for only 68 yuan, and the meat is stewed until it's incredibly tender.
