多米糯甑糕坊

This place makes really good steamed rice cake. It's 8 yuan a serving, and they give you a generous amount of jujubes and red beans, so you can taste the filling in every bite. The texture is soft and chewy, and the sweetness is just right—not too sweet. I recommend eating it while it's hot, as the glutinous rice will harden slightly when it cools down.

I've passed by that little shop at the intersection of Jintaiyi Road several times before. They bake the first batch at 10 AM, so I suggest you go right on time. The steaming heat right out of the oven is completely different from when it's cooled down.

I ate here before, and it tasted best right out of the pot. I suggest you eat it while it's hot; the flavor isn't as good when it cools down.
