Feel free to recommend other great restaurants!! 1️⃣ Yuanheyuan Spicy Spicy Fish This is a long-standing restaurant I've eaten at countless times. It's not cheap, but the quality is excellent. They're generous with the ingredients, and the frog and fish tenders are also heavenly! 2️⃣ Gao Laoyao Noodle Shop If you love rice bowls, this is the place to go. It's unique. The tomato and shredded pork rice bowl and the fish-flavored shredded pork rice bowl are both delicious and reasonably priced. 3️⃣ Manzuo Hotpot This standard neighborhood restaurant is excellent, and the soup base and dishes are also excellent. Many of the dishes are handmade. If you're visiting Chongqing, you should definitely give this place a try. It's a favorite of mine. 4️⃣ Fatty Snacks This is a great ma la tang place in Shapingba. They have a huge selection of fresh dishes. I always order a large bowl to go with my rice. 5️⃣ Lotus Root Wontons A must-try in Shapingba, a student favorite. It's right next to the University of Science and Technology. 6️⃣ Fanbaoxiang I've had the same dish as Wen Yifan many times. When I'm in Guanyinqiao and can't decide where to eat, I definitely go there! 7️⃣ Er Hotpot Shapingba's absolute #1 traditional hotpot. The beef is a must-try. The base is a bit spicy, but I recommend mild spiciness for those from out of town. 8️⃣ Junman Duck Feet The duck feet buffet is the best here. The base is sour and spicy, which is appetizing. You can nibble on as many duck feet as you want, and the vegetarian dishes are free too. 9️⃣ San Ge BBQ The meat skewers here are absolutely amazing. The quality is right on par with the price. The vegetarian dishes are just average. 🔟 Handheld Skewers A skewer shop in a very affordable area. I've been going there since I was a kid, and even at just over a dozen yuan per person, I still manage to eat my fill. p2: Ba Deng Beef, located in Shuangbei, though a bit far, is a must-try every time I go. p3: The most popular traditional hot pot! It's the kind of hot pot you'll eat even with your suitcase.
