There are very few dishes, but the taste and ingredients are really good. I had an upset stomach, but I still ate a lot. The first three are especially recommended. It's my first time to try grilled Houttuynia cordata. I boiled Houttuynia cordata in water and dipped it in a dish. Vinegar and chili are used as dips to remove all the fishy smell of Houttuynia cordata. If you don't believe me, try it. It tastes great.

I'm back in Jiefangbei for a late-night barbecue snack. I've been to this Baba Shao place in the alley with friends for 6,789... times. It's a food stall-style place, a bit run-down, but with a strong, smoky atmosphere and incredible flavor! The specialty Baba Shao is freshly skewered and grilled over charcoal, making it incredibly fragrant and flavorful. I highly recommend the grilled pappardelle noodles—chewy, soft, and incredibly flavorful! The grilled duck intestines are also great—crisp, tender, and fragrant! I go to Jiefangbei 4 times a week just for this roasted wide noodles! 😭 And the flavor is always amazing!!! The wide noodles are so soft and chewy, paired with the pickled radish and minced meat, I could easily have two! The roasted kidney and shredded pork are also amazing, incredibly tender. 👍 And because they're drizzled with chili peppers and hot oil, they're even more fragrant. I personally think their Baba Shao is one of the top three places in Chongqing.
