Zhaoji Laopu is an authentic Manchu restaurant. Its antique decoration style fully reflects the historical characteristics of the Manchus. It is said that the owner of Zhaoji Laopu is the fifth-generation descendant of Aixinjueluo, and has very high requirements for ingredients, so the dishes are very delicious.

Another old Zhaoji shop, but this one doesn't serve Japanese cuisine, but traditional Northeastern cuisine - Manchu royal cuisine (?). It's also located in the business and service area at the southeast corner of Xinghai Square. The decoration is very unique. When you enter the house, you will see wooden tables and chairs, which gives you a Qing Dynasty feel. There are portraits of successive emperors of the Qing Empire on the wall. The lighting is a bit dim, and people who come in feel solemn. The braised beef and pork elbow tasted good, but the eggplant was a bit too cold. The pot-fried pork is authentic, and the sauerkraut pork dumplings are delicious.

Zhaoji Laopu was founded in the 21st year of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty by Aixinjueluo Zhenguo, the 11th generation descendant of Dorgon. The environment in the store is very high-end. The service staff also wear kimonos. Ordered two set meals, one Japanese-style fish head set meal. The flatfish meat is tender and delicious. The tofu inside is also very tasty. Also ordered a Nanban chicken set meal. The chicken is fried and tender. The meat is not dry or dry. It is really good with vegetables and salad dressing. Each set meal comes with small pickles, fruits, miso soup, salmon, and egg cakes.

We booked a meal here on the coldest day... We booked the wrong restaurant when we took a taxi. It was only 500-600 meters away. We walked from Wangfu Congee Shop to Wangfu Hotel... As soon as we entered the door, it felt like we had traveled through time. The service staff were dressed in Manchu costumes and treated us with courtesy. The whole hall was like a historical museum, full of Manchu culture and cultural relics. We ordered some simple dishes for two people. Each dish was very ceremonial. We liked the Manchu-style pot-fried pork, which was crispy and made with pork neck, which was very memorable.
