Ahhh, this restaurant's spicy chicken platter is absolutely amazing! The fried potato strips are served with the spicy chicken, so fragrant and crispy, and dipping them in the chili oil is just irresistible! The cucumber salad is also super refreshing, the sour and spicy flavor is perfect for cutting through the richness. I saw several locals at the next table ordering this, so I figured I couldn't go wrong with it, haha!
Help! Their stir-fried potato with water chestnut is absolutely amazing! 😭 The water chestnut, a specialty of Changji, has a unique flavor—fragrant with a hint of wild grass—and when stir-fried with potato, it's incredibly delicious with rice! I devoured the whole plate; I just couldn't stop eating it, haha. The rice noodle soup and the shabu-shabu were also good, but the water chestnut is a must-order!
I passed by this place at noon, and it was packed with people. I've been here often before, so I'll just give you a heads-up: if you want the potatoes and wide noodles with the braised chicken, it's best to come early. Their potatoes are really soft and tender, and the chicken is very flavorful, but the wide noodles are often sold out during mealtimes.
