又闻清风Today I went to Jinsi Gorge for a visit. It is located in Jinsi Gorge Town, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province, and is a 5A-level scenic spot. There is basically no public transportation here. If you want to go, you can choose to drive by yourself. It takes about 2 hours to drive from Xi'an. Or you can go there by tour group. The ticket price for the scenic spot is 100 yuan per unit.
Jinsi Gorge is a national forest park, known as the capital of canyons and the world's strange gorge. Because it belongs to the hinterland of Qinling Mountains, the terrain in the territory is undulating, with valleys and ridges alternating. The scenery in the park is beautiful and picturesque. The scenery changes with every step.
There are two entrances and exits in the scenic area, namely Lu Dumen and Liyuanmen. Lu Dumen is the main entrance. Entering this gate, you will arrive at Bailong Gorge.
Bailong Gorge, commonly known as Qili Gorge and Beixia. The peak on the left side of the gorge is called Fengshan, which is like a phoenix spreading its wings. The peak on the right is called Monkey Mountain. There is a stone monkey on the top of the mountain. There is a saying that the fairy monkey plays with the phoenix. There is also a strange stone rising from the ground on the left hillside called Xianrenshi.
Walking along the scenic plank road, the green mountains are stacked, the green shade is lush, and the spring water on the roadside is green and clear. After passing the Immortal Stone, I walked more than a hundred meters and suddenly heard the sound of running water, like applause. I saw a spring gushing out from under the boulder, and the spring water was clear. This is the famous Ma Paoquan.
According to legend, there was a Su Niangniang in the Qin and Han Dynasties who was pregnant and asked for orders to suppress the rebels. Passing by this place, the weather was hot and the ground was dry, and people were tired and hungry. At this critical moment, the Niangniang's horse, the Oolong horse, stretched its neck and neighed, and pawed the ground with its hooves. In an instant, a white light flashed, and a clear spring gushed out. The Niangniang was overjoyed and drank with all the soldiers. This spring water is endless in all seasons, cool and pure. One look makes people linger and drink a mouthful, so it is called the Divine Spring.
Walk about one kilometer forward and you can see the stone tree. As the name suggests, there are two trees growing on two huge rocks, one of which is a precious golden maple. There is a row of Guanyin stone statues beside the stone tree plank road, which are very lifelike. Looking up, you can see Hanmo Cliff, which is a very spectacular cliff. The cliff is thousands of feet high and the rocks are as black as ink.
Further ahead, you can see a huge waterfall, which is formed by a man-made dam. Looking up, the waterfall is rushing down, which is very spectacular. Go up the steps and you will reach Bailong Lake. The lake is calm and green, and it contrasts with the surrounding mountains and forests, gentle and calm.
Then you can choose to climb the mountain to Shiyanzhai, or continue hiking in the canyon. Shiyanzhai requires a certain amount of physical strength. Climbing to the top of the mountain, you can see a Taoist ancestor hall. There is a road next to the ancestor hall to climb to the Moon Worship Pavilion. This is an excellent viewing platform, surrounded by valleys on three sides, and only one side is a straight cliff. The valley is cool and the scenery is unobstructed.
After going down the mountain, you can continue to visit Heilong Gorge, or you can return the same way. Because of time constraints, the author chose to return. I heard from the locals that it takes at least two days to fully visit the scenic area.
In general, Jinsi Gorge is still good. You can enjoy the green mountains and clear waters similar to Jiuzhaigou. It is especially suitable for elderly and children to come and play, and it is also suitable for backpackers who like mountaineering to challenge their limits. It is recommended that you come to play when you have nothing to do.
