A must-try in Fuzhou, Michelin-starred restaurant Jiangnan Zao Rongfu

The 2024 Michelin one-star restaurant in Fuzhou is Jiangnan Zao Rongfu, located in Shangri-La Chinese Restaurant in Fuzhou. The restaurant is advised by chef Hou Xinqing, the regional executive chef of Shangri-La Group and the award-winning chef of Jiangnan Zao Restaurant. It cleverly combines classic Huaiyang with Fuzhou&#39;s garden private mansion, bringing a gourmet experience of &quot;seeking the scenery in the mansion and enjoying the feast with the heart&quot;.
The restaurant continues the brand concept of &quot;Jiangnan Zao&quot;, based on the &quot;garden, literature, and banquet&quot; trinity described in &quot;Geyuan Ji&quot; by Liu Fenghao, a poet of the Qing Dynasty, and integrates private mansion gardens, the Maritime Silk Road, and the feelings of overseas Chinese returning home into the restaurant design. The menu of Jiangnan Zao Rongfu was jointly formulated by chef Hou Xinqing, a restaurant consultant, and Ma Xupeng, the executive chef of the restaurant. Classic cuisine Huaiyang Guiliu boiled dried silk, the delicious soup blends into the thin bean skin silk and is full of vitality, and the mouth is still recalling the deliciousness of the ingredients. Hand-peeled river shrimp fried with olive kernels, a seemingly simple dish. The shrimps are crisp and light, and adding a little vinegar adds a lot of taste buds. Huaiyang soft pocket is a dish I like very much. It tastes good, is well processed, has no fishy smell, and is especially fragrant when paired with rice.

No. 1 of Fine Dining  in Fuzhou

I just noticed this restaurant in the past two years. The decoration is very unique, but the prices are very affordable. It mainly serves Fuzhou cuisine. The presentation of lychee meat is very unique. The taro is delicious and sticky. The water chestnut cake is also super delicious. The rabbit head, in short, no matter which dishes I ordered, were disappointing. I recommend it.

It is rare to have such a quiet and comfortable dining environment. Books are neatly arranged on the bookshelf, and a guqin is placed in the corner, exuding a strong ancient style. The dishes are exquisite and elegant. Dining here is a feast for the eyes and mouth.

When I see green tea, I think of Milk Tea Sister. It&#39;s a conditioned reflex. There are mostly booths. Self-service ordering and self-service checkout. Of course, there are menus to choose from. The tableware is good and the shape is very special. The plates of each dish are different, which is also a scenery. The paper towels are self-service. There is a particularly good dessert, a dessert platter, with yogurt, sachima, pudding, matcha, and another one that I can&#39;t remember what it is? The green tea fried rice is also good.

This dark-themed tavern tucked away near Dongbai has been upgraded to version 2.0. With concrete walls and shadowy beams, every photo is a breathtaking spectacle. 📸

They specialize in fruity craft beers. 🍸 The sweet and sour, refreshing flavors are perfect for the ladies!

You can even sample before ordering! The accompanying snacks are surprisingly delicious, making it a perfect after-work get-together with my girlfriends. ✨

The space is bigger than you&#39;d expect. Be sure to book a table in advance on weekends, or you&#39;ll be left envious!

Lao Fuzhou Xuji (Doudong Branch), this is the second one we came to Fuzhou. It feels better than the first one, but the place is a bit cramped. This time we ordered the store&#39;s star Buddha Jumps Over the Wall for 329 yuan, which is better than the 100 yuan one in every way. The ingredients are better, the quality is better, and the soup is thicker. I love the taro paste in Fuzhou, which is delicate and smooth. The scallion oil sea chrysanthemum is a squid head, fresh and crispy.
