Fuzhou Food | Nine Japanese Restaurants - Izakaya Reviews I'm almost going moldy at home, so I'm writing something here. 1⃣️p1-p3 A la carte Japanese food (expensive, but justified) p1 #一幸料理閣 💰From 300 per person, budget is yours Located on the banks of the Antai River, our two-person meal came to around 600. The sashimi was excellent and fresh. The bluefin tuna was sold per piece for 78, and the salmon and sea bream sashimi were amazing. The raw beef was incredibly fresh, with no fishy smell and melted in your mouth. The sea urchin omelet was excellent. The cheese-baked crab jelly was delicious. p2 #竹地本铺 💰From 300 per person, budget is yours Located under the Jinshan Bridge, this is a long-established Japanese restaurant. It's been open for over a decade, and while the decor isn't as impressive as the newer locations, the quality remains excellent. The amazing thing is that they have everything: hot pot, barbecue, teppanyaki, and more. The sea urchin sashimi was high-quality and fresh. The foie gras was flavorful and not fishy, and the 4A Wagyu beef melted in your mouth. The teppanyaki Antarctic icefish was incredibly delicious, with the meat and bones separated and ready to eat. p3 #Tenwa Kappo Cuisine (Fuzhou Branch) 💰From 400 per person (Fengjianyou) It's located in the C2 building in the Northeast, and the prices are a bit higher, especially since even the hand sanitizer is Hermès. The ambiance is lovely, with typical Japanese decor, and you can wear a kimono for photos. The sashimi is five-star quality, and the charcoal-grilled Australian Wagyu beef is a good choice. 💯 2⃣️p4-6 Buffet Japanese Cuisine (Great Value) p4 #Takumi Japanese Style Cuisine (Cangshan Wanda Branch) 💰218 per person Dinner is 218 per person. The buffet Japanese style is quite cost-effective, with unlimited ordering. Takumi used to have excellent quality, but I feel the sashimi quality has declined significantly in recent years. Among similar buffets, I personally think Songhe is a bit better. p5 #Songhe Fine Cuisine 💰248 per person Songhe is a well-established Japanese buffet restaurant with a tatami-style setting. The sashimi is pretty good, and the other cooked dishes are quite tasty. It's a great value. The cheese dishes are delicious, and the steaks are also tasty. p6 #Xiyulong·Kaiseki Buffet (Dayang Jingdian Branch) 💰388 per person We had the 388 per person kaiseki buffet, which included unlimited lobster sashimi. The sashimi was excellent, and the cooked dishes were average. The ambiance is very consistent with Dayang Jingdian's elegant and luxurious style. It's perfect for business banquets. 3⃣️p7-9 Izakaya-style Japanese Cuisine (Your Budget is Your Choice) p7 #Izakaya·Sheng 💰250 per person Sheng is also a long-established izakaya in Fuzhou. Honestly, 250 per person won't fill you up... it's a bit pricey, but the sashimi is truly excellent. It has a full Japanese izakaya feel, a great atmosphere, and excellent grilled food. It's my favorite izakaya in Fuzhou. They also have a katachi robatayaki section, which is even better. I'll be back when things get better. p8 #一代目·衛 💰Around 150 per person This is a small streetside shop with a slightly izakaya feel. The interior is simple and understated, but the food is surprisingly good. The sashimi is excellent, including horse meat sashimi. The sukiyaki here can be dipped in aseptic eggs, which is a great touch. This is a place that really takes its food seriously. p9 #鴻匠 (Vanke Branch) 💰 Around 100 per person This Japanese restaurant specializes in fresh, live-grilled eels. Their eel rice, grilled eel, and fried eel bones are all delicious. Their sashimi and grilled dishes are also excellent. This is the perfect place for eel.
