🌞day2 (left in the afternoon): Go to the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, which can be traced back to the Jin Dynasty, early in the morning. You must go early in the morning! We arrived at 7 o'clock and enjoyed two hours of empty streets and alleys. When the morning light was dim, it seemed like we traveled through time and space and walked into an ink painting. It was really beautiful. We took the time to take photos. There are a lot of people after 9 o'clock. It's hard to move when there are performances. Shops and exhibition halls are open at this time, so you can walk around freely.
We had lunch at a Minnan Banquet (P4) in the mall next to Sanfang Qixiang. It is said to have Xiamen flavor. It opens at 11 o'clock, but there are many people waiting for seats before it opens. Maybe the expectations are too high. It feels not as good as Sanshengshi. The taste is light. The ginger duck is said to be ranked first, but it is not as fragrant as the one I had in Dongshan Island before. However, there is a terrace at the entrance of the hotel, which overlooks Sanfang Qixiang, and it is a different scenery (P5 above)
Because we still want to see Shangxiahang during the day, we went there again after lunch. As expected, there were many people, but it was fun. Shangxiahang feels younger, with people singing and playing music, and performing pantomimes along the way.
