十字小溪-YOn the first day in Nanning, my friend chose Ganjiajie Lemon Duck Restaurant near Mixc. The restaurant looks small from the outside, but it is a different world when you go up to the second floor. The environment is elegant. The lemon duck is sour and sweet, which is more suitable for the taste. The fried fish, vermicelli, stuffed rice dumplings and other dishes are also very distinctive. I have a good impression of Guangxi cuisine!

"Three Days Two Nights Itinerary" 🏨Accommodation Recommendation: Stay near Chaoyang Square for convenient transportation. 🚗Transportation: Subway, electric scooter, Didi (ride-hailing service) 📍"Tea Bran and Ginger Head Therapy"💆 👉Applying hot ginger paste or ginger residue to the forehead and massaging the head is incredibly comfortable. It's so relaxing and addictive afterward!✨ 📍"Giant Old Salt Water" - A must-try! Old salt and green mango!👍 📍"Little Hu Benben Tea" - The blueberry yogurt and thick cream were amazing! Juicy blueberries + rich cheese – a complete knockout from chain brands! 🫐 📍 "Sour King's Wild Pickles" A variety of pickled fruits and vegetables including green mango, guava, peach, pineapple, and papaya, paired with chili salt – pretty good! 📍 "Nan Tang Courtyard" Final Dessert: Mango Pomelo Sago Rice Noodles – super pretty! Coconut Pandan Jelly – a lifesaver for sunburnt skin! 🍧 📍 Breakfast/Lunch: "Sister Li's Freshly Pressed Rice Noodles" in Shuangzijing Market. The ambiance is average, but the aroma of the noodles is irresistible. Many locals eat there. Their freshly pressed rice noodles are handmade, and the sour, slightly fermented flavor is the soul of the dish! Adding perilla leaves, pickled cowpeas, and lemon sauce is really great, and the price is super cost-effective! 📍Yongwei Laoyou Rice Noodles (Lunch) The pickled bamboo shoots and fermented black beans are a real treat, bursting with wok hei (wok aroma), paired with the "Giant Old Salt Water" salted green mango—a perfect contrast of hot and cold, so refreshing! 🍹 📍 "Ganjiajie Lemon Duck" The aroma of lemon leaves is irresistible, and the duck meat is firm and tender. Also, order some pickled wild vegetables as an appetizer (different from Suanpinwang, this one uses fresh fruit with seasonings, not pickled fruit, which I personally prefer). A Guangxi specialty! 🍋 📍Intangible Cultural Heritage Food Exhibition Hall The Miao ethnic style is perfect for photos. Dining "on a bridge" is unique. However, the food is just average. Worth checking out if you want to take photos! 📸 📍Lunch or Late Night: "Guo Tai Xian" (Hot Pot Fresh) This place has a wide variety of ingredients, and they're incredibly fresh! The shrimp were all incredibly fresh and lively, and there were also mushrooms. I used to only eat fresh-cut beef at Chaoshan hot pot restaurants, but I was surprised to find that their fresh-cut fatty beef was also incredibly tender. (They also offer discounts on their food after 10 PM.) ❗Hot Pot Base Options: If you can handle sour flavors, I recommend the sour soup base. The sour and spicy flavor is more appetizing than a half-and-half pot, and it's a perfect match for seafood. The congee-based hot pot was just average; save room for the seafood later! 🦐 📍"801 Raw Food" Dinner: The stir-fried beef offal with pickled bamboo shoots smelled amazing, and I recommend pairing it with "Liuli Jing" jasmine milk tea (it tastes a bit like Ba Wang Cha Ji, but this place is much more cost-effective) or Giant Old Salted Water, which is refreshing and delicious. 🌱 📍Late Night Snack: "Aunt Hong's BBQ" I saw many locals eating there. Personally, I don't really like it. Several barbecue places recommended by locals in Nanning use honey, so those who don't like sweets should be cautious about trying them. 🍢 --- 📍Qingxiu Mountain Scenic Area🌿 ✅Huanshan Xiuping: Huge lawn, great for photos ✅Botanical Garden: Cactus area instantly transports you to Southeast Asia ✅ASEAN Shengtiandi: Must-see for photos on the famous spiral staircase I recommend buying a sightseeing bus ticket; hiking is a bit tiring.
We were a group of two adults and two children, one four and a half years old and the other two and a half years old. Our main goal was a relaxing trip, so we left around 10:30 am almost every day. I absolutely loved Qingxiu Mountain! Nanning is truly a paradise for family relaxation and delicious food! Day 1: Qingxiu Mountain North Gate - Shade-loving Botanical Garden - Mini-train to Guanyin Temple - Walking around Huanshanxiuping (approximately 1.6 km) - Gui Xiao Chu Restaurant in MixC Mall The Shade-loving Botanical Garden was incredibly beautiful in the sunlight, with dinosaur sculptures, insect specimens, and all sorts of amazing plants! There are popular photo spots, perfect for snapping pictures, and the kids were very excited. There's a vegetarian restaurant above Guanyin Temple, which my family loves – vegetarian noodles! The walk to Huanshan Xiuping is downhill, and it's very comfortable in November. Huanshan Xiuping is a large lawn, and you can see peacocks at 3 pm. Day 2: Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum - MixC Gravity Restaurant - Qingxiu Mountain East Gate - Leaf Garden/Aquatic Garden - Jungle Park - Langxi Night Market The museum has fewer activities lately, so the kids only had a quick look before leaving. In the afternoon, we went to another area of Qingxiu Mountain; the gardens there looked like a fairytale world in the sunlight. The biggest surprise was the Jungle Park, a natural climbing area built along the mountain slope, with many squirrels in the trees. Day 3: Nanning Zoo - Ganjiajie Lemon Duck We learned about the orangutan with the kids; it was a very enjoyable day. The orangutan was slacking off today, but the monkeys at Nanning Zoo were all very lively. I was most amazed by the crocodile enclosure; I've never seen so many crocodiles in a zoo before. Seeing the giant panda Jimei leisurely scratching itself and eating bamboo was also very worthwhile. Food Recommendations: 1. Gui Xiao Chu is great for families with children. They have small children's meals, tomato beef, and steamed egg custard. The pickled radish and crispy tripe are super delicious with rice. 2. Gravity Restaurant is a chain, and some dishes are delivered via a track, which kids found very exciting. The Nanning branch has excellent food; the tomato pasta and pizza are delicious. 3. Xiao Du Jia Jam BBQ: Guangxi-style BBQ has a sweet and spicy sauce flavor, which is very delicious! Perfect for relaxing after the kids fall asleep. 4. Gan Jia Jie Lemon Duck has a unique flavor; I personally don't like it, but I think those who like lime-flavored Lay's would enjoy it. 5. The food at Langxi Night Market is all good! Freshly squeezed pomegranate juice was delicious, the rice noodle rolls were tasty, and the stir-fried snail rice noodles were also very good. I wasn't really used to the sour sauce though. However, there weren't many options for children here. 6. The biggest regret of my trip was not having tried the Lao You Fen (a type of rice noodle soup), but I'll definitely come back next time! Accommodation: Meizhu Yueyan Hotel (Nanning Convention and Exhibition Center Langxi Metro Station Branch) We stayed for three days with our child. The location is very convenient—it has a buffet breakfast, highly recommended!
