带着檬宝去旅行I was used to eating big fish and meat and wanted to find a vegetarian restaurant to cut down on the greasy food. I had heard about this restaurant a long time ago and found that the environment was very good. It was hidden in the bamboo forest in a corner of the temple. There were not many customers and the waiters were enthusiastic. The dishes were elegantly presented, tasted good, and not greasy.

Qisuyuan, located in Puxian Temple, must be the most worthwhile quiet place in Nantong. Even a simple vegetarian duck is unique! The crystal syrup net is buckled on the vegetarian duck, which has a taste of wanting to say something but not being able to. The sense of ritual of food probably comes from this!
This vegetarian restaurant in Nantong has made me fall in love with vegetarianism all over again! 🍃 1⃣️Qi Su Yuan - A Creative Vegetarian Restaurant with a Stunning Environment 📍4th Floor, Yanlord Commercial Plaza, 28 Haonan Road, Chongchuan District, Nantong City ⏰Opening Hours: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM 💰Per Person: 150-200 RMB I didn't expect to find such a high-end vegetarian restaurant in Nantong! The restaurant boasts a modern Chinese Zen ambiance, with wooden tables and chairs accented by greenery – a truly relaxing sight. The signature "Vegetarian Dongpo Pork" is absolutely amazing. Made with king oyster mushrooms, the pork and pork are perfectly balanced, and the rich sauce flavor makes it feel completely un-vegetarian! The "Pumpkin Soup" is also perfectly thick with a subtle coconut aroma. Two bowls per person is recommended! I have to mention that they update their menu every quarter. This time, I had the absolutely amazing "Matsutake Lion's Head" (Matsutake Lion's Head). The mushroom filling was tender and juicy, and the vegetarian broth was incredibly delicious. The presentation was incredibly exquisite. I posted about it on WeChat and was immediately asked where I could eat. ⚠️ Tips: 1. Call ahead to reserve signature dishes. 2. They offer many creative vegetarian dim sum takeout options. 3. Window seats offer the best lighting and are perfect for taking photos. #NantongFood #VegetarianRestaurantRecommendations #CreativeFoodCheck-In #WhereToEatWeekend #JiangsuZhejiangShanghaiTravelFood
Today was uneventful. After the heavy rain, the weather was a bit cooler than yesterday. I suddenly remembered making a wish at Jianshan Mountain a few months ago, so I decided to fulfill it today. It's the hottest day of summer, so the mountain isn't crowded. The reclining Buddha 🦶 outside the gate points to the ticket office. The entrance leads to the mountain trail, where the future Buddha stands before us, smiling and welcoming visitors from all over the world. Turning a corner, we arrive at the Champion Pavilion, nestled against Jianshan Mountain, with unobstructed views on three sides. Directly opposite is the peak of Langshan Mountain, where the pavilions, pagodas, and temples atop it are all visible, accessible to all. Relaxing in the Champion Pavilion, the breeze blowing in from all directions brings a refreshing coolness that makes me forget about air conditioning. Nantong lacks high mountains; a short climb brings you to the summit. This is the dojo of Manjushri Bodhisattva, built facing the river. Imagine waking up every morning, opening the temple gates, and seeing the Yangtze River, a vast expanse of water and sky, with boats sailing east and west. Since winter, my heart has been broadened, open, and peaceful... Descending the mountain, I turned to Zhuangyuan Pavilion to enjoy the breeze. I fantasized: If I had a reclining chair in the pavilion, along with a pot of tea, I could spend the whole day relaxing, oblivious to the world. Amidst my wandering thoughts, I suddenly remembered Qi Suyuan's vegetarian meal. I tried to make a reservation, and surprisingly, it was ready right away. It was almost 5 p.m. when we arrived at Puxian Temple. Qi Suyuan was located by the lotus pond inside the temple. The main temple gate was closed, so I drove in through the side door. There were no tourists. The main halls were all closed, so I wandered the courtyard: the carved stone pagodas nestled beneath the trees by the roadside, the stone Guanyin statue towering over the world in front of the Sutra Reading Hall, the various Buddhist statues stacked in the corridors, including the boxwood Budai Monk, the brick walls with the word "Fu" carved into them, the temple's back door resembling a city wall... The temple wasn't large, and after a quick tour, it was already time for my reservation at Qi Suyuan. The temple's halls, gates, and paths were all spacious and open, with the exception of Qi Suyuan, a small, rustic wooden door from Shuangcheng hidden in the bamboo forest. Behind the gates lay exquisite pavilions. We had originally booked a private room on the second floor. The waiter kindly reminded us that the second floor's view was mostly of the first floor's rooftop, while the first-floor lobby had a great view and, with fewer guests today, was almost like a private room. Sure enough, the lobby tables all faced floor-to-ceiling windows. Beyond them lay a lotus pond, its waters red with flowers, yellow stamens, and green lotus pods. On the bank, a pomegranate tree stood, its fruits beautiful and large. Vegetarian dishes, soups, and dim sum arrived one after another, leaving us satiated. The scenery, the service, and the food were all worth it. After a heavy meal, I revisited 1895 to work off the food. Three years ago, I stayed in town for a week for work. During that week, I went out for a stroll almost every night, and the places I visited most were the century-old industrial sites in the 1895 district. I loved seeing the quiet, old factories, the huge, bulky steel machinery scattered among the grass...
