Dad likes to eat cake dumplings. When I learned that there is also a time-honored store in Nantong that is famous for cake dumplings, I naturally made a special trip to buy some cakes to take back as souvenirs.

This store is located on South Street outside the Jiangshan Gate site of the old Tongzhou City. The antique gatehouse is very recognizable. The store is not big. The cake counter is facing the door and there are many varieties. I bought some sweet-scented osmanthus cakes and other varieties to take home. I heard they are quite delicious, similar to the ones we have at Shen Dacheng in Shanghai.

In addition to cake dumplings, this store actually also sells Chinese snacks such as noodles, fried rice, and wontons. The business is even better than cake dumplings, which is quite surprising.

This shop is recognized as the top breakfast shop in Nantong. How can you miss it when you come to Nantong? As a tourist, I was particularly moved when I arrived at the door of the shop. A lot of steam came out of the stacks of steamers. The steaming scene was full of authentic and warm life, which is not common in the increasingly modern city.

This shop still looks like a traditional Chinese restaurant. The store doesn&#39;t look big, but it is crowded and lively.

The breakfast bought in the store covers all the representative varieties of Nantong. The taste is nothing to say. Just pick what you like or have never eaten.

When I went there, it was a weekend morning market. The lobby on the first floor was full, and there were still empty seats on the second floor. It is recommended that if there are many people, go directly to the second floor. Relatively speaking, you can eat more leisurely.
