乞力马扎罗海豹There are many new restaurants around, and the taste is amazing, so the taste of this restaurant is relatively plain. The mushroom soup is not rich, like a drink, but you can taste the freshness of the mushrooms. The meatballs are delicious, and the vegetables inside are average. The caramel brûlée is neither good nor bad. The service is very good, and they are proactive in serving and collecting the dishes. The environment is beautifully decorated, but the foreigners inside are super noisy and speak very loudly throughout the whole process.

Chatting with the French owner, I was curious about the meaning of the store name. I guessed it was related to popote. After asking, it really has the meaning of home cooking. Simple and everyday food, serious cooking. Seeing the colorful food in these jars, it's really cute~ - A random shop I found during Restaurant Week. The three-course set meal has a complete salad, main course and dessert. The price-performance ratio is amazing. The small jar looks small, but in fact, my stomach is full after eating it (actually, I came here for the tiramisu. I was not disappointed.
I've been putting this French bistro in my favorites for a while now, so I took advantage of Restaurant Week and invited some friends to check it out. It was busy on Friday lunchtime, almost full. They have both indoor and outdoor dining areas, but the weather was too hot so we decided to sit inside. The Restaurant Week set menu is 118 per person, but some dishes are extra. Including coffee, it comes to five courses per person, so the value is really good. Black Truffle Mushroom Soup: Silky and smooth, with a hint of black truffle, quite delicious. Marseille Bouillabaisse: The broth is quite fresh, with a variety of seafood, and no fishy smell. Mushroom and Chicken Breast Pasta with Parmesan: The instant you open the lid, you're greeted by a fragrant, creamy aroma. The chicken breast isn't dry at all, and the pasta is springy and chewy, absorbing the savory flavor of the mushrooms and the creamy Parmesan. It's quite good. Classic French Beef Braised in Red Wine with Mashed Potatoes: The beef wasn't very textured; it was tender, but lacked flavor. Both of us thought it was just average, leaving a lot uneaten, which felt a bit wasteful. The two desserts were average; not terrible, not too sweet, but not particularly delicious. Overall, the price per person, just over 100 yuan, was reasonable for a restaurant week. The bistro atmosphere was relaxed, and you could take your jars to go if you liked. However, there weren't many dishes that stood out, and overall, I couldn't say anything particularly delicious, but it wasn't a disappointment either. It was the kind of place you wouldn't want to go back for once. #RomanticDateRestaurant
A hidden gem of a French bistro, owned by a French man. I went with friends to try some new dishes and had another delightful meal. 🍞🍨 French toast is a must-try, and French desserts are a must-try. You'll never stop chowing down on it. 🍝 Beef stew with fettuccine is incredibly rich, with a generous portion of beef and perfectly tender noodles. 🥖 The spicy crab roe sauce and fish roe jars are actually quite mildly spicy, and the flavorful little jars were so good I ordered an extra portion of freshly baked baguette to spread on them. 🐂 The Angus beef tartare was excellent quality and fresh, and a great value. The snails were surprisingly fried like wontons, with a crispy batter and chili flakes. The chef is a real fusion chef. 🥚 The red wine and mushroom poached egg, while not named "meat," actually contained a ton of bacon and was incredibly rich! #ShanghaiTravelGuide #ShanghaiUniqueDestinationRecommendations #RomanticDateRestaurants #ShanghaiFood Popot (Xuhui Branch)
