Iris-kaCame to Shanghai for a long weekend and a friend told me about this place so we went here at dinner time. I ordered the meatballs and I was very happy with the authentic taste. I also had a popular Swedish bun with cream called Semla. Very good 👍 they have Swedish beer and cider as well.

This is an Internet celebrity restaurant. I didn't know it before. I found out it was an Internet celebrity restaurant when I was about to write a review after eating. Some people don't care about it being an Internet celebrity restaurant. My opinion is that the decoration is simple, the snacks are made by themselves, fresh and taste good. As for coffee, I only drink black coffee. I ordered Americano, which tasted good. Conclusion: I completely agree that it is an Internet celebrity check-in point. Thumbs up!
Once the top-ranked cake shop in Changning District, it is located on Yuyuan Road, very close to Jiangsu Road subway station, with convenient transportation. I have passed by many times, and this time I finally had the chance to taste it. It is worthy of such a high ranking. The taste is really good, with a strong milky flavor, but not very sweet. I highly recommend it.
I went to SMAKA to buy a cake and have breakfast there. It's a small building on Yuyuan Road. The owner is Chinese-Swedish, so they're best known for their cinnamon rolls, but I'm most drawn to their croissants. It's a bit of an internet sensation, and on weekends, it's almost impossible to get a seat. Today, just as it opened, I finally had a moment of peace and quiet. Internet-famous restaurants in Shanghai come and go, and most rely on hype rather than substance, resulting in a short-lived success. I think, with the quality of this place, even if it remains relatively stable, it should be able to maintain its popularity for a long time.
I stumbled upon this place right after getting off Line 13. It's also in Xintiandi, and the space is much larger than Yuyuan Road. There's also plenty of outdoor seating. On a weekend night, it wasn't crowded, so it was a nice, dark setting, though not ideal for taking photos. In addition to cakes, they also offer light meals, which aren't cheap. I finally had Budapest Cake. The crust was crispy and infused with nuts, and the cream was light and sweet without being greasy. Two people shared one, and it still felt like it wasn't enough.
This little shop on Yuyuan Road has been on my friend's radar for a while, so I finally had the chance to check it out. It's two stories, small, but packed. Signature | Cinnamon Rolls^ I didn't want to order them at first, but my friend insisted and I tried them anyway. They were surprisingly delicious. The rolls are rich in flavor and not as hard as they look. They're incredibly delicious. The waiter heated them up for us if we were dining in. | Budapest Cake^ The butter is perfectly applied, and the puff pastry is soft and not overly sweet, perfectly blended and delicious. | Caramel Hazelnut Tart^ The owner recommended it directly. Although it's caramel, it's not as sweet as it looks. The hazelnut layer in the middle is rich and delicious, and I'll definitely be back for more.
Legend has it that this place has the best cinnamon rolls in Shanghai, so I absolutely have to try it. I passed by this place on a weekend morning and it wasn't open yet, so I went back this time. I arrived early, but aside from the bread selection, the window display was empty, with only a few cakes. I ordered coffee and a cinnamon roll, then headed upstairs to wait for my food. It's not very spacious, but it looks cozy, and you can watch the kitchen making them live. Wow, it feels so much like Budapest! I quickly bought one to try. Their cinnamon rolls are healthier and tastier than the one at Xina on Yuyuan East Road, and most importantly, they're not too sweet. I left wanting more after each one. Every coffee shop has a latte and latte art, but this one has a different feel. As a friend put it, the latte art is the most perfect of all the places I've tried. I recommend coming here in the morning, enjoying breakfast and coffee while sitting by the window. The quiet and cozy atmosphere is perfect for daydreaming.
