I have a hard-to-describe feeling about Fenghuanglou. As one of the few teahouses in Shenzhen that has survived to this day, its location and environment are quite good. It is located in Huaqiangbei business district, and is the annex of a five-star hotel. Business is pretty good, and there are many seats and you often have to queue. The overall product is also OK, but I always have a little higher expectation for it.

The durian pastry is not made of durian, but made into a filling similar to fried fresh milk. The good thing is that the odor is reduced, but the bad thing is that there is not much durian fragrance left. The spring rolls taste good, it would be better if the vegetables in the filling could be cut finer, the vegetable stems are a bit stuck in the teeth. The salted pork bone porridge and radish cake are just so-so, not a thunderbolt nor amazing. The baked buns, my wife thinks it's too sweet, I think it's not bad.
